Kool Collar - Medium in black (Includes one Kool tube)

I tried this with ice instead of the reusable strip. My dog does not take the heat well. I put the collar on her on a hot day when she had already been outside in the yard for a while. After a few minutes she seemed more comfortable and was panting less. I did not find the ice messy since it was quickly absorbed by her thick fur.I was a little surprised by how narrow the pocket is which holds the ice. I would definitely recommend.

It is literally a snap to keep my pup cool on a hot day. I also bought the multi-pack of re-freezable inserts, so that after the collar isn't cool anymore (30-45 min) it's easy to remove the melted one and insert a frozen one. My dog loves it - when she hears it snap closed, she licks my face! Reasonable price for quality item. I do not use ice, as I think it would be messy. It is neat and easy to use "as is." 3 ice inserts inside the collar will last about 30 mins in 90 degree New Orleans heat. My dog hates wearing it but it's the only quick/ easy solution that I've found. Not sure it's worth the trouble, really. Once the ice melts, it starts retaining heat, so I have to remove it & carry it for the rest of our walk.

I like these collars for my Cane Corso who are not fans of the heat. I do recommend buying extra packs of the inserts that you freeze as one strip lasts about 30-45 minutes before it is melted. It is much easier to buy the refreezable strips than to mess with putting ice in. These are great, but wont keep cool on long hikes, as I said they melt in about a half an hour. Good for cool off sessions and around the house.

I have two English bulldogs...after a rough summer trip to the Midwest where my dogs were overheated...even though they only ventured outside for 15mins at a time, I decided it best to try a cooling product. Im not sure if this helped or if my dogs did better after because the heat wave left...lill have to test them out next summer to really knw. Either way the ice melts everywhere....so be prepared for a mess. My bulldogs are already messy so it didn't bother me.

This product worked great I even ordered the extra freezeInserts, but recently the inserts will not freeze. No matter what freezer or how long they will just not freeze. Really disappointing since it worked so well.

works great. it's been so hot and seems to calm my terrier down within 5 mins. The panting just stops. Another great idea. Hope the gel inserts last for a while. If not, I will definitely buy another one.......totally worth it.

I have a boxer and these cool collars have saved our walks in the summer. They are great. I usually just fill them with ice cubes so the melting ice can run down the dog's chest and keep her cool. We are now able to take our hour walks in the summer thanks to the kool collar!
