The Hot Flash Club Chills Out: A Novel

This novel is fun and unpredictable as the characters are in it. I loved the human compassion and support the women have for each other. I enjoyed the way each character contributes to problem solving and with the perfect amount of humor added it.

In my opinion, this is the best of the Hot Flash books, it had more substance than the others. I read the series for fun, not really to learn anything, but this book made me think, and I appreciated that. The language was better, the writing was better, the characters more realistic. I appreciated it and recommend it. It made me hope that the author will do another, and write the next one as intelligently as this one was!

Hot Flash Club Chills out is reflective and entertaining. It takes the reader to a quaint hometown in Nantucket and allows for a well deserved getaway. Maybe just maybe you need to be in the over 50 crowd to connect with the club. It appears that we have many life experiences that only our age group have experienced. Anyway I loved the getaway and hope to read more of Nancy Thayer's novels...

The Hot Flash Club books are chic-lit at it's best. I quickly read through all four books (it was a bit of a challenge to figure out the order to read them in since at least on Kindle they weren't published in the 'right' chronological order) and simply enjoyed hanging-out with the main female characters. Each character is very well developed, each brings a different perspective, and a different set of strengths to the group. As such, it's easy to find a character - or characters - to personally relate to. Nancy Thayer's sense of humor has me laughing out loud with her humorous take on simple, everyday things that happen to us all. This series would make a great summer read for the 50+ crowd. Thank you, Nancy for bringing a wonderful voice, and many rays of hope and optimism to this aging boomer!

Once again Nancy Thayer manages to combine adventure, and southern charm into an enjoyable tale of southern friendship. Having been a card carrying member of the "club" myself, I especially enjoyed reading about how more mature women are valued not just for their "wisdom", but for their humor and attractiveness, both mentally and physically. I would recommend this book for women of any age.

Of the series this one was my least favorite, to me there were areas where it felt rushed - condensed. While I did enjoy the series, the characters are pleasant and all situations thought provoking - somehow this gets thin in spots.Still it's worth reading and finishing up with the story of these ladies. It was cool when they all chill out.

I love this! I read everyone of the series over the Christmas Holidays. I could not put it down. Reading on my Kindle even made it better because the minute I finished one I order another!It was refreshing to read about women over 55yrs. I am in my early 60's and love to read. Not many of the novels I read I can totally relate to.I would recommend to all of the mature ladies who are still out their living their lives to the fullest.Hope I will find more of the same.

Nancy Thayer hits it on the button portraying women going throughout the ups and downs of menopause. She touches on the friendships of women, menopause and day to day life. I have purchased the series and hope to see more "Hot Flash" books. I feel I know these women.
