Kinetic by Kurt Rear Skewer for Trainer

I bought this to go with a bike trainer as the one on my road bike didn’t fit my actual trainer. It works really well! I would buy it again.

I have a Kinetic trainer that I have been using with my road bike. My wife wanted to use the trainer with her smaller bike so I purchased a second skewer. The use of the Kinetic skewer makes it MUCH easier and quicker to swap bikes out. This skewer is perfectly shaped to work with the trainer. Sure - I could just leave my wife's plastic-tipped skewer on her bike and manhandle it into the trainer, but why bother. For a few bucks I have a superior-quality skewer that is suitable for the road AND the trainer.Installation takes seconds. You will not have to remove your chain, mess around with gears, etc. You simply remove the left side nut from the rear skewer, slide the skewer off from the right side, push the new one through the same hole, and tighten the new cap. That's it. No muss, no fuss.I have taken my bike out on the street a couple of times since I installed the Kinetic skewer and can promise you it works just as well as the standard model that came with my bike.

Great fit, easy to install, workes great. Thought I was gonna need a complicated solution to use my indoor trainer, but this axle was an exact replacement. I had it installed and my bike fixed in the stationary trainer in 5 mins and it'll support outdoor rides with no mods.

This item was received in a timely manner, and as described. I bought a used Kinetic Trainer from an individual and the skewer axle was missing. This replacement fit, and got my indoor training going. I didn't rate it 5 stars because at this point I can't vouch for its durability. But, so far - so good.

Works perfectly. Amazon must have gotten counterfeits mixed in for them to break easily. Mine has "TK" letters in the open side while none of the broken skewers have the "TK" letters. I'll update if mine breaks.

I was given a bike trainer but it was missing this piece. It likely accidentally stayed on the other person's bike. Anyway, it was easy to install watching a YouTube video on how to set up the bike trainer. It has been reliable so far. I don't think about it at all which means it is doing its job.

Needed an extra bike trainer screwer so my wife and I can switch out our bikes faster. Fits perfect and does the job.

I bought this skewer to use on my kurt kinetic trainer.The first time I tightened it, it broke as show in the photo (and apparently, in many other people's photos).Then, I messaged amazon, returned that one & got a new one.Then, the new one broke in exactly the same way.I messaged amazon and got a refund.Do not buy this. Do not use this. This skewer is bad enough to compel me to write my first amazon review. Buy directly from a trusted seller (I thought this was the trusted Kurt brand) or from a Bike shop.Best case, it breaks when you tighten it.Worst case, it breaks when you're on the traininer.Really worst case, it breaks when you're on the road

El skewer quedó perfecto en la bicicleta, y por su material es adecuado para ponerlo en el rodillo de entrenamiento, para sustituir el de serie que tenía, que era de plástico y se estaba dañando.

He tenido que comprar este cierre para poner mi bicicleta en un rodillo, ya que el cierre que trae de origen no servía para el rodillo. El cambio de un cierre al otro ha sido muy fácil y rápido, y ahora se adapta perfectamente al rodillo.

Works as expected, fits into the cyclops trainer that I have.

Fits my turbo trainer perfectly, feels very strong and quite heavy.

the skewer I received did not match the specifications on the website. I needed a longer skewer and the website says the skewer is 9 inches long. Product Dimensions 24.1 x 1.3 x 1.3 cm ; 99.8 g. the received skewer was only 18.5 cm long. I left a comment for seller 3 times but no response. I had hoped they would send me a replacement skewer that was the advertised length but I got no response. Disappointed.
