REDINGTON BEHEMOTH REEL Fly Fishing Reel

Nice reel , a bit heavy and the drag is a little too strong . But all in all a good reel for the price.

Really like this reel for the rivers. Has a great drag, but I really never use it, it's not huge which is a plus, but it does fit a full 200 yards of backing with a full fly line. Think my only disappointment with the reel was that the orange wasn't glossy. It was more matte orange so not the prettiest thing, but still went well with the green vice I think.

This is a great, affordable reel that performs well beyond its price point. I specifically use this for saltwater fishing 8wt and up and have had zero issues. Are there better reels? Sure, but they come with a way higher price tag and aren't necessary if you just want a quality reel with a great drag.This would not be my choice for trout fishing since it is a bulky reel, but if you want an inexpensive reel to beat up on while fishing for larger species you can't go wrong with the behemoth.

I like this reel so much I ordered a second one. Was going to order a second spool for the original one but found I could get a whole other reel for $20 over the cost of spool alone. It is not the lightest reel when you compare with other makes, but I don't find that to be a detriment in any way. Let's face it, there are plenty of good reels to choose from so choosing one has a lot to do with aesthetics and price tag... I think this is a solid buy. It seems to be readily available and is functionally sound. I like it.
