Will the clue game board stand on its edge, for displaying? Or will it tip over?

The reviews say that people have received a non 3d version. Has this been reconciled?

Hi there!  Thank you for your question.

While it's been some time since this issue was cause for concern for us, we'd like to address it so prospective buyer can feel confident about their decision to buy this item without fear of getting something other than the item pictured and described here.

The issue was caused by a handful of 3rd party sellers not quite understanding how selling on Amazon works.  The manufacturer previously produced a different, lower-priced, lesser-featured version of Clue for a specific brick and mortar retailer that they unfortunately also called Clue Luxury.  People saw that version for sale for less than this version and mistakenly thought they could buy it from that retailer and sell it on Amazon for the same asking price that this version commands and pocket a nice profit.  Unfortunately, while that retailer-exclusive item was nice, it wasn't nearly as nice as this version is and people felt cheated when they received an inferior product misrepresented as a superior product, and rightly so.

Both Amazon and the manufacturer have taken steps to prevent that kind of issue from recurring.  All the inventory of this item that is Fulfilled By Amazon now requires labeling that identifies the item as belonging to a specific seller.  So, the chance of you receiving the wrong item has been reduced.  This requirement also makes it easier for Amazon to spot problems with the inventory of this item and to correct issues more quickly should they occur.

Obviously given the amount of time that has passed since this question was asked and not answered, we hope your issue was already resolved outside of this Q&A process. But on the chance that it hasn't been resolved, and for the benefit of others owners and buyers of this item; the best way to solve the problem of a brand new unit of this item coming to you missing one or more accessories, is to look in your product manual for the manufacturer's customer service contact information. A quick call or email to them detailing what's missing and they'll ship out whatever may have been left out during the manufacturing/packing process.

If you've had the item a while and lost pieces or just acquired it as a pre-owned item, we're sorry to report that the manufacturer does not make the accessories available for purchase separately.
