No mess
These gel food coloring tubes are a great no-mess solution. The colors are really vibrant. I mixed the yellow with Knox & poured it onto an AngelFood cake. The result was the brightest, yellow cake you ever saw. Perfect base for a 4yr old’s birthday cake.I will never use liquid food coloring again.Try these. You will love them.

Created a deep saturated color in a vanilla cake
Important: I thought gel food coloring, which I needed for this rainbow cake, was hard to find. It’s not. After I bought this here, I found it in my local grocery store. But I love the way my daughter smiled when she saw this fun birthday cake. I followed the Dunkin Hines recipe for rainbow cake - you can it find online.

I think I just got a bad box
It's says it come with 4 colors - red, green, yellow and blue. However, my box only came with red green and yellow... wasn't an issue because I only needed red and green but open the box before the return date expires!

NOT AS ADVERTISED
I purchased this product to dye frosting for a bake sale. I specifically needed blue and yellow as those are my daughter's schools colors. None of the gel colors were what they were supposed to be. Would not purchase again.

Not easy to mix into premade frosting or in cake batter
Had chosen gel food coloring instead of liquid as I was told it would make a more vibrant color. We had tried mixing blue into premade frosting as well as into cake batter. The colors did not mix in well - it looked more like a green cake with blue spots rather than a fully blue cake.

Does not hold color on baked cookies.
Colors look fine pre-bake although you see a light color quickly (3-5 drops) to actually get a darker color takes much more gel. Post bake the colors are muted to half of what they were. For Macarons, this dull color looked horrible.
