California Design Den 100% Cotton Handmade Chunky Knit Weighted Blanket 12 Pounds, 100% Cotton No Fillers, All-Season Soft & Calming, Evenly Weighted for Natural Deep Sleep (Gray)

First off - I believe this color has been noted from others to have a strong smell from the dye, but I didn't experience it being that bad. I aired it out for a day, and then hit it with some "Zero Oder" spray, and it's just fine.I originally got the larger (15lb 44x72 light gray) and found that, besides it being to heavy for my liking (This is my first weighted blanket and I'm Male, ~170lbs.), it smelled much more, even after airing out and spraying, so it was returned.This guy is JUST PERFECT for me. Besides being a bit lighter, it also seems less dense and more open/stretchy/net like if you play with it, so it's much better for "breathability", which is important for me since I run hot sleeping and want to use it year round. I'm currently using it over my bamboo top sheets and cotton waffle weave blanket and it's perfect. For winter I'll maybe just add another layer if needed.I can't speak to washing it since I think I'll probably get it dry cleaned since I don't want to over tax my washer with the wet weight of it, and I don't want to deal with tub washing.For me the 12lb. weight is very comforting, and cozy, without being smothering, and so far I've not had too much of a problem with it shifting/falling off the bed during my occasional tossing and turning evenings.I also just received some Percale pillow cases from CA. Design Den that I decided to try out, and they are great!

So far so good!! I have such a hard time staying asleep throughout the night. Sometimes I even sleep sitting up and don't prefer sleeping medications due to feeling "hung over" the next day. I had done my research for over 1yr and was originally going to go with bearby than I found california design den for about $100 LESS. The difference I found was regular cotton vs orgnaic cotton which isn't a bother to me at all. I went with the 15lb which is 10% of my body weight. I saw that the dark gray and other colors were frequently returned due to smell because of the dye used. I wrny with the light gray and I couldn't be happier the blabket arrived QUICKLY the product is made in India and is 100% cotton. I've had some of the best sleep 😴 I've been able to have in along time I do get up to use the rest room but staying asleep using this has been a dream. I like that it's knitted so it's not overwhelming hot. I suggest recommend and would purchase again. I don't mind spending on quality products and this is just that! So comfortable and I love that it came in a bag that can be used for the beach, day trips, or overnight bag. I wasn't able to get the blanket in it again but nonetheless it was a nice touch ;) the blankey itself is heavy and so soft I like the pattern to it and it does come with clear cleaning instructions 😊 happy sleeping

I was very leery to spend so much on this blanket and I have zero regrets! I sleep so soundly and the tossing and turning is a thing of the past. Highly recommend this blanket. Buy it...you won't be sorry you did.

There are some flaws in the blanket, but overall, I really like it. I haven't washed it yet, so I don't know how it holds up. I do think I'd buy their products again.

This does exactly what you need it to do: give you the feeling of a heavy duvet without the stifling heat.

Good blanket for those of us going through IVF or menopause with hot flashes and night sweats. It stays cooler than a regular blanket thanks to the holes and the weight helps me stay asleep and calm. I often throw a smaller non-weighted blanket on top over my cold feet.

This blanket is really nice, and while it can keep you warm (away from a breeze), it also doesn’t get you too hot. It is a little too heavy and thick to be a blanket you take everywhere, but I have used the bag to take it on long trips, and sleep on it or under it depending on the situation.Personally, I use it by itself. But a soft thin blanket makes it extremely comfy in winter for our youngest.

I’m a restless, light sleeper so unfortunately this weighted blanket was not for me.1. It was too heavy for my liking.2. I don’t like the woven feel…too airy and I don’t like the feel of my toes poking through the gaps.3. It is too cumbersome while tossing and turning. I actually slept worse with this on top of me. Again, this is my personal experience as a quirky, light sleeper.The positives:1. It is absolutely beautiful and great quality.2. It definitely holds the covers down if your spouse is a “cover stealer!”3. It comes with a very nice tote bag if you want to travel with it.4. It is a gorgeous accent piece at the end of my bed.
