You can attach the clothespin to the clothesline and the slip the hanger into a little plastic hook that is part of the clothespin. It is hard to describe, but it is ideal for hanging out shirts, etc.

I live by the sea and I am always afraid that my clothespins will rust and leave a mark on my clothes. I like these because they are very heavy duty and they have very little metal and it's located in a place that does not come in contact with the clothes. A bit expensive but worth every penny.

I rarely give 5 stars but these work great. Strong enough to hold a damp comforter on my line, the side hooks are a nice bonus. And due to their different construction, don't break like the old wood ones and won't get snagged on the middle metal piece like the old wood ones. I bought 2 boxes and will get one more just to have a few spares. When the outdoor drying season is over, I'll update.

After a couple of years of use, the center plastic part where the metal hinge sits develops fatigue and the whole clothespin crumbles apart. The hook IS very handy. If they could stop the center from not holding, perfect five.

These works perfect. I live in the country where it's open and can get quite windy. These hold my clothes on the line and they don't even slide on a windy day. I will be purchasing more.

When I decided to replace my old wooden clothes pins, I chose 3 types. The paints are already chipping off the replacement wooden ones. The plastic ones may be large, but they can't get a grip. Then there are these. They are fantastic! They can hold towels on the line on windy days without causing a concern that I'll be picking them up off the ground. An additional bonus are the side hooks that can hold belt loops, or the shoulder straps for brazier's or camisoles. It is nice to find something these days that lives up to what it's touted to be.Would I reccomend these to family or friends? Absolutely. So if your looking for clothes pins that give you your money's worth, these are it.
