Quite a noodle
Tried it with a Kastking Zephyr and a Diawa Tatula SV TW 103. You will need a good casting technique and a very good reel to throw the lighter end of this rods range, it's a very whippy medium rod with so-so QC (guides badly aligned). At the higher range you should be good as long as you don't try to muscle the cast.Unlike some other buyers mine is still intact after a few times out but I've kept well within it's weight range. Haven't caught anything with it yet (closing in on winter here) but I would be very careful if I had anything bigger than 1 pound on.As always in life, you get what you pay for. If you keep that in mind it's an OK rod.

Eh… not for .5g (1/80) jigs. Not even 1/32. Best go up from there.
Ok, so good things first. It does cast .5-8g lures and does so iffy at best closer to .5g and pretty good at 1/32 and up. Mine came with the tip guide crooked but nothing a lighter couldnt fix. Now the down side. Can this cast .5 lures yes, but the sensitivity of this rod is severely lacking and you can even feel it if you are using a jig (probably are). Id say you are better off using 1/32nd and up. 1/64 you cant really feel. So i wouldnt even try to go to 1/80. Im probably going to use this rod for ultra light crank baits instead of jigs to be honest. I have a much more sensitive rod than this for jigs 1/32 and under. Not a bad rod all in all. Just things to consider.

Great rod and company
I’m giving it a 4star for now because I just received it and opened it up. I ordered the 6’6” and it’s barely 6’, it’s a good 5’7” at best. I’ll be using it this weekend so I may update, seems like a nice rod though.Update: The rod performed great and was sensitive like it states in the description. But, it was a foot shorter than what I wanted and was hard to set the hook at long distance like I was doing. So…. I contacted the company and they understood what happened and I noticed they changed the description about the rod and corrected the length. I got a refund after sending it back and I’m looking into another one from them. They are very responsive, understanding and the rods are pretty damn good for the price. For the record, I’m a huge St.Croix guy and have nothing bad to say about them except for the prices, lol. I buy cheap now and then for my panfishing and I think I found my other go to rod company after this experience, thank you, Saugayilang!

Pretty nice
Great price for the rod. It is very light weight. It is just want I was looking for. Will see what happens when I go use it. Will report back if anything negative happens.Rod broke at the second eyelet....I sanded the rest off and super glued it and still use the rod with no issues yet. Should have spent the extra 15 20 bucks but for now it's still fun. BFS fishing is fun and this has been a decent starter pole.

Nice rod
The rod itself is built well, but for a small lightweight rod the guides are quite tall. The guides themselves are well made and I have not noticed a difference in casting; it’s just the extra care needed while transporting. I would buy another.

Nice For Ultralight!
Paired this 5'9" casting rod with a Shimano Scorpion BFS reel and couldn't be happier with it! Casts 1/8 oz lures with good consistency. The build quality of the rod for the price is good and doesn't feel cheap. All-in-all a good rod for ultralight/BFS fishing.
