SilkyGomBoy Curve Professional Folding Saw 300mm Large Teeth (717-30)

This saw is fantastic and makes quick work of even big branches and trees. I carry it in my mtb pack and it's a must have for heavy forests.

This saw is amazing. Cuts through most anything I throw its way. Lightweight so you can hit the woods for some trimming.

Be careful! The saw teeth are surgical sharp - you can get a bad cut just looking at the saw wrong.Silky saws cut on the pull, not the push stroke so don't use much force at all on the push stroke - it can bend or even break the blade if too much push force is exerted. Likewise, because the saw is so sharp, you don't need a lot of force on the pull stroke either. Let the saw do the work. You'll be amazed at how effortlessly and quickly it cuts.Great for pruning limbs and felling trees up to 4" diameter. While it can cut larger wood, its "sweet spot" is up to 4". For bigger wood, I recommend the Silky Katanaboy 500mm.The Gomboy is easy to carry - fits well into the front pocket of my Carhartt winter coat and I use it every time I'm walking in the woods with my labs.I did have to tighten the black bolt where the saw folds as it was so loose when I first got it that the blade wouldn't stay completely folded in the handle. Since then it's been nothing but easy cutting. Definitely worth the price.

This is my first silky first of all. On a 3" think branch, it cut in 24 pulls. Not bad. But I think I may have gotten a defective blade. I posted a pic of the blade. Look at the red slashes. Above them are double teeth. There are 3 sets of them total. I only marked 2 sets for you to see. I don't see this on another silky a friend has, or the corona razor. Did I get a knock off copy? I'm not sure, but I hope seller can set this straight.

Right size for MTB trail work. Bigger blade than Gomboy, which a plus but not too big that the blade places too much stress on the single pin at its base/hinge point when one tries to use it as a lite weight machete, on small branches/grass/weeds, which often happens. The Big Boy blade is too long, places to much leverage on the pin when used to hack brush. Learned this the hard way. The Gomboy is solid as a light machete, but Gomboy Curve is a bit longer.

Already took it camping.Works great.

Silky seems to make a decent product, this saw is alright for use every once and a while, not an everyday use tool.

I'm coming from Laplander, wow, what a change! Super fast, not sticky at all (the spine is thiner than the teeth), light, confortable but need to get used to the locking lever when chocking up. I cut logs for spoon carving and I even make stop cut, very precise. Can't recommend enough (get large teeth!)

Très pratique, coupe avec une grande facilité, achat effectué après avoir vu une de la même marque ( coloris rouge) qui a permis de couper en tronçons un cèdre de 15 mètres de haut jusqu'à 3 m de sa base. Ensuite vu la largeur du tronc, le reste a été coupé par une tronçonneuse.

There are many saw on the market but silky is the best. Never used something better than an original silky gomboy or similar.The best of the best

La uso quando vado in mountain bike e quando faccio trekking nel caso trovassi il sentiero ingombrato da alberi caduti o grossi rami. L'ho usata già diverse volte e taglia veramente bene. In pochi secondi taglia rami molto grossi e si possono tagliare anche tronchi di 15 centimetri di diametro con facilità. Sono veramente soddisfatto.

Wenn man eine gute Klappsäge sucht, sollte man silky ausprobiert haben.

Sehr tolle säge! Ich nutze sie sehr viel im Outdoorbereich durch ihre kompakte Bauart. Sie ist sehr griffig und arbeitet gut was weg. Am besten ist dieses Sägeblatt für Frischholz geeignet. Tothplz geht zwar auch aber durch das gröbere Sägeblatt ist das sägen sehr ruppig.
