Does what it says on the tin
I tried another mount prior to this for a telescope, but a few things hampered it, most importantly the pressure on the volume buttons when clamping the phone in (Pixel 4a). The phone has volume buttons below the power button, which take up half the height of the phone, and thus getting in the way.This item however has a hollow that perfectly fits the volume buttons, and avoids the power button as well, almost as if it was designed for the phone! This may still apply for other phones, but I'm glad I found a perfect match!If phone has volume buttons on the opposite side to power button, they take up much less space, so probably won't get in the way regardless, so this was an awkward scenario I guess, but one that this item solves! Looking forward to a clear night to try it out now!

Amazon need to sell two sizes and make this clear
Product did not fit my telescope. There are two sizes but Amazon do not advertise this or offer a choice of sizes

Gosky Universal Mobile Phone Adapter Holder & CAMKIXNeeded to get the larger adapter as my ‘scope was right on the upper limit of the smaller adapter. Seller responded quickly. Would recommend the larger adapter if your device is very close to this limit.I use adapter to view my scope images on the phone screen and at home I use screen mirroring to view images on large tv.I also use adapter and tripod for video calls as the phone can be easily positioned using the tripod. Easy to set up and use. Recommend purchase & seller.

Check it fits your equipment.
Well made piece of kit but check that it does fit your equipment. I could only get it to fit my Vanguard scope by removing the eyepiece rubber. Otherwise it does the job well.

It's OK
Got this to attach to my spotting scope. It's rather fiddly to line up with the phone camera lens. Once it is set up, it works quite well. However, if want to dismount to use the scope normally, you have go through the lining up process again. It works though, so not a bad piece of kit to have.
