有名なデニストンのこの注釈であるが、目立つのはキケロの言ってることの揚げ足とりである。中にはアントニウスの言説には無批判な記述も見られる。キケロに批判的なサイムの影響を受けているのではないか。日本人がキケロのテキストの意味を知るためには役に立たない。引用文もラテン語のままで、記述も難解であり、相当の学者でないとこれを活用するのは難しいのではないか。
