Worthwhile Read !
As a descendent of the O'Farrell/Farrell Clan, I loved reading about my heritage. Any Irish Man or Woman will enjoy the history that James D. Farrell has shared in his book. It has sad parts that tell how brutal and savage the rulers were. It is realistic and gives one an authentic view of the times.

Gaelic Ireland's Last Stand
"The Last Stand of The Chief O'Farrell" is a historical novel set in Ireland during the Elizabethan Era. The O'Farrell clan is putting up one last-ditch attempt to fend off the invasion of the English. The O'Farrell clan, the long-time rulers of Longford, are desperately holding on to their holdings, as well as their ancient Gaelic and Catholic culture. The novel is a very powerful and violent one. It was an epoch of bloodshed, torture and betrayal. As a American descendant of the O'Farrell clan I read on knowing how the end would turn out!
