I was having trouble getting my boat on plane and keeping it there without bouncing and these seem to have fixed that situation for me. Sturdy built. Easy to install. Well worth the experiment.

The media could not be loaded. For the price, about 1/2 to 1/3 the high-end brands, these are great. Easy to install, but align your holes very well. Use center punch and a starter bit first.After use up-date: These did help plane the boat out faster and at a lower speed. So that was a success. Note: I replaced my rotten Lund transom with a ceramic pour transom that is 100 pounds heavier than my old Lund wood transom so I added a good bit of weight to the stern.However, these plane fins did not as much as I had hoped. I will now go buy the larger ones with a curved trailing edge that push the water down harder and give more life to see if they perform any better and if they lower max speed too much. Don't get me wrong, these work well, and if I did not have the extra weight in the stern these would be perfect.Love them!

I was running 13-14 mph, couldn't get quite on a good plane. I installed this on my 15hp mercury pushing a 14ft deep v boat. It instantly put me on a perfect plane and raise my max speed to 18mph. This is by far the best investment I have ever made for the money. It's faster. Motor seems to run not near as hard and I instantly plane off. Excellent buy. If your iffy about it, don't be. Buy yourself one. You won't regret it!

I just got the Hydrofoil mounted-installation was very easy and the fact that they included the drill bit to install it was great. My only reason for a 4 star rating instead of a "5" is not this company's fault. On my particular out board motor to mount it exactly where I wanted it to go there were protrusions sticking out right above where I had to position the fins for drilling the front hole, the drill bit would have been at too much of an angle to drill a straight hole-by moving the whole fin outward a little it still was at a slight angle but everything went together just fine. The rear facing hole is no problem at all -it's the forward hole that you may have to tweak a bit. The hydrofoil seems solid and this was a great price-I'll do a follow-up report after I get the boat out in the water.Review Follow-up- I installed these fins on my 20' pontoon, has a 40hp Mercury motor on it. Before I put these fins on no matter how much I "trimmed" the motor (tilted it up or down) it didn't make a lot of difference bringing the front of the pontoon up. We just came back from the lake and these fins WORK! Playing around with the trim I could get the front of the pontoon to come up a good 10"-12"-WOW! Going across the lake with the front higher makes with a really smooth ride and I'm sure it's going to help keep the front higher when I'm loaded down with family/friends in the front. Really pleased with this purchase!

Installed on my 50hp tracker 170. Immediately got on level plane. My Friend recommended I install this. He bought an 80 dollar model. I'm more thrifty and bought this one. Well played
