I use mine to open water bottles and prescription bottles. I bought one for a friend who is also having issues with her fingers due to arthritis.

Over the years I have lost some strength in my hands and now have a bit of arthritis in my fingers. It was becoming increasingly difficult to open small screw-top containers. I had to ask for assistance to open a bottle of pop/soda. Those days are gone now that I have this bottle opener!! I love it and have ordered one for a close friend. I was hoping this would help me open hundreds of bottles a day at work, saving my hands and arms from so much pain. Not so much. I'm guessing this would be helpful for someone in a home setting opening their daily medications, but not so convenient for the person trying to fill them.

An occupational therapist told me about dycem when I had a hand injury. It is handy to have irregardless of any injury or illness. It works like a charm to open jars and bottles.

I love Dycem products. I already had their large cone jar opener, large round mat to steady a jar if I need extra help, & a material roll to make a rug non-slip. So I just padded the small cone bottle opener, perfect size for little caps. After many gadgets, these are the ONLY non-slip products that grab with ease.
