Scotts Turf Builder Halts Crabgrass Preventer with Lawn Food

Purchased this combo for where I live on the foothills of the California mountains. Out here the wind is constantly bringing in weeds, but I have a course that was left to nature and am now in the process of fighting the crabgrass that’s here.The spreader works perfect for my lawn care, but it’s tough to tell if the crabgrass has actually been halted. I will say there isn’t any new spread outside the yard perimeter but it’s almost impossible to actually stop crabgrass with the way it weaves through and under everything. I believe this along with manually separating is the only way to get progress.
