The winch and the hitch carrier are superb. I was able to mount both the winch and the carrier onto the front of my truck, with the ability to easily remove them in order to mount onto my trailer hitch. This maximises the usefulness of the winch. I'm very happy with your products and service.

11/11/2017.My wife bought this for me Christmas of 2013 on Amazon and I can say this winch is great! The 12,500 rating is probably underrated...lol! I have it set up on the receiver cradle and keep it in a truck tool box when not in use. Have not tested the waterproof ability so I cannot attest to that. I'm sure one day I'll have the opportunity. Snow, mud, thick brush, sand, dry and pouring rain it works exceptional. I have pulled 80-90ft 18" thick pine trees like they are tooth picks. When pulling certain very heavy items such as other trucks it pulled my 2005 lifted F250 backwards like a toy car. In these cases I've had to tie off to a solid object such as a tree. I have pulled a fully loaded 26,000lbs box truck out of a ditch and the winch didn't even strain (thus my underrating comment above.) I know that 12,500 is dead lift rating, point being, it will pull anything you can hook to that's not buried in 6ft of concrete. The remote is probably the best feature of this kit, more useful than you would think. The snatch block is quality steel with sealed ball bearings for the pulley. Roller fairlead is quality but you will need to manually line up the cable when re-spooling. The engage/disengage lever is quality and works very well. I went to a speaker shop for the wiring and it run me about $120 for the cable alone. Recommend buying the available kit, it will probably save you time and money. I would put this winch against any other model out there... good buy, great price, awesome winch... would definitely but it all over again!
