Not exactly what I wanted but does good enough for what it claims. I work in a noisy enviroment and needed a whistle to get to a audiable decible. Wanted it to wake the dead but its just as it claims to be. For park game officials.

OK, this works, sounds like the ref at the local sports field, and seems OK quality.The brown pea cork inside is new to me. No idea what that is, or why it's lumpy looking. Also no idea how long it would hold up, in use. The listing says it's bark, so that seems like a less durable option to me, but what do I know about whistles? Time will tell, I guess.Just an FYI, this was my first whistle purchase, and I needed 2, but wasn't sure what the other kinds were, so I got an order of the various aluminum and brass whistles, too, to see what the differences were.The aluminum whistles are sleek, fit in your pocket easy, and look cool. The sound is eardrum piercing loud, though, so I would not use them for kids sports. You'll break all their eardrums, as well as the spectators. I'd use those for scaring off snarling dogs running at you, or calling for help when you're lost in the mountains, but stick with these center ball kind for sports.The brass tube whistle I got in the variety pack was also quite loud. Somewhere in between the two others on ear piercing, & volume, so think through what your intent is, the select accordingly.Bears, dogs, muggers - sure, scare them off with the loud ones. Little kids acting stupid on the field, go with the regular ball in the hole kind.

I was so happy we bought this whistle. We live in the woods, but near a highway. After 2 short lessons, my dog learned to come to the whistle. Twice, now, she has run away and would not come to our verbal commands. She knew "whistle means treat". I went inside, grabbed the whistle and some treats, and when I used it, she came to me, immediately. She got some tasty treats and plenty of praise!

The media could not be loaded. I bought this product to use an incorporate with my dog training as well as keeping one of the whistles on my keychain. Should there ever be a reason I need to use it in an emergency for both of these reasons they have worked wonderfully and getting a pack of two of them for this price point is truly unbeatable they come with a lanyard that you can keep around your neck or a little key ring that you can add to a keychain, if you are looking for a good price point for whistles, these will do the job
