A GREAT bulb.....so fun....very flexible....worth the price.
I choked a little at the thought of paying $22 for a light bulb, but given the life of an RGB LED and that you don't need this kind of bulb in every lamp, I went ahead. I'm kind of a lighting freak and I like a lot of moody accent lamps in my house, mostly with just warm colors and low wattage. This bulb was perfect for that as it produces a perfect amber glow at that setting. But, hold on to your britches because if you like any other color, fades, disco, whatever.....this bulb will produce and COMPLETLY customizable through the phone app. I was amazed. I have a few of the LED bulbs that have a remote, and the fade options on that are too limited and not really appealing the way they function. You can completely customize this bulb to any colors and length of fade and transition. Total control and all through your phone app. Also, you can create groups of lights that you can turn on and off with one click OR set on a timer. It really is an amazing little light. Also, and this is a big bonus, you can set this light to come on and off at whatever times (multiple even) you wish. So, it functions as a timer, as well. I am perfectly happy with this purchase for my purposes. Certainly the best purchase I've made in these customizable bulbs and lights that are becoming popular now.Only one CON: I do think that the warm bright light setting is too yellow for my tastes. I do wish these lights could produce a bright 3000 K light similar to a regular LED buld. I'm not sure why they can't, probably that type of light requires a static color LED, not one with RGB mix. So, for a reading light, maybe, maybe not. it's not that you can't read from the wattage emitted, it's perfectly bright, I just don't like the yellow color.
