An education!
This is a superb book. Almost a “finishing school” for ladies. And no matter how life and the world changes, the concepts and lessons in this book are timeless and will serve you well. Highly recommended.

Sexist and one sided. Almost funny a man should have these opinions
I was looking forward to reading this, until I got to the second chapter. I am a mother of three looking to better my life and myself for myself and my children. Once I got to chapter two I had to chuckle and put the book down, what a laughable ignorant chapter, seemingly against ladies having a family, encouraging false views that having children means you cannot lead a fulfilling life and they are a burden. Had I not had my children I’d not be looking to improve myself, they are my greatest treasure and they deserve a wonderful woman as their mother. While they are not my only motive they are certainly my main. You can be a wonderful empowered successful woman with children, as a matter of fact, I have found nothing more empowering than having my family and building a successful enriched life with their support and love.

Bit of a disappointment
Not as humorous as his blog. No new tips here. Prefer Jennifer L. SCOTT's work on the subject. Sorry Byron!

Practical advice, valuable real-world examples
I’ll start by saying that I’m a man and I read this book looking for extra information compared to Mr. Tully’s Old Money Book.I think a lot of this advice applies to both women and men, and the advice that is specific to women I also find valuable, especially the parts to do with advancing in the workplace and pay negotiations. Even the style advice is not that different from the advice the author gives in his book aimed more at men.I opted to only give the book 4 stars because I feel like what this book does, the Old Money Book does better and with more detail. The main valuable addition this book brings, in my view, are the examples of successful women, many of which, I must admit, I was unfamiliar with.Overall, if you only read one of Mr. Tully’s books, I think the Old Money Book is a better choice, for all genders, because of its more detailed information. However, this is a nice addition to that if you’re looking for advice specifically aimed at women.

Book of Wisdom
Great, informative book! The concepts are the same tried-and-true techniques that I've read from many other successful people, as well as from family--such as live below your means, save your money, live a simple but enriched life. Mr. Tully offers many examples of accomplished, brilliant women to emulate. He does present a more well-rounded approach to be a self-sufficient and discerning woman, regardless of what life throws at you. Mr. Tully's writing style or voice is frank yet considerate, the type of sit-down discussion you would have with your dad, religious leader, or close male mentor. Mr. Tully speaks the same as he does in The Old Money Book and his blog, both of which are the genuine common sense and courtesy of age-old wisdom and manners. Worth every cent. Good gift for any female friend or family member. Positive experience from the seller; I would buy again.
