The Lunch Ladies: Cultivating an Actsmosphere

This book was recommend to me by another youth minister here in Middle Tennessee who implemented it because of problems in "his" group. We are having the same issues and, on his suggestion, I bought the book. Within the first 2 pages I knew the content in this book would be pertinent to "my" youth group. I am currently deciding how to best implement the suggestions with my group which is much smaller than the one referenced in the book. Yes the book seems disjointed at times but it all comes around in the end. Highly recommended!

I just finished it and loved it. Philip is a good writer and shares really good ideas that have worked for him and others to reach people for the Lord. I love the scriptures he used throughout. Use this for your youth ministry or your whole congregation! Thanks, Philip!!!

Outstanding book in which Philip describes the culture of neglect that existed within the youth ministry at the church where he serves and how they went about changing that to a culture where everyone is cared for and where everyone belongs.This is the best book on youth ministry I read this year, and it has implications far beyond youth ministry.

Our youth group struggles in the area of reaching out to visitors. It is really a direct result of the adults who are not engaged and the kids are following their example. I pray the ideas in this book can help flip the tables so the kids can start being the example.
