Edge Active Care Deep Cleansing Shaving Cream for Oily Skin - 5.5 oz

I am 59 years old and still have occasional problems with black heads and acne. This shave cream has helped keep my acne in check. Black heads have been reduced or are just gone. I originally used too much of the product and my razor would not rinse clean. It took awhile to find out that less is better, at least when using disposable razors. Tube lasts a long time. No nicks or cuts but I never had those problems with other creams. My Afro-American Son-in-law does not care for it. It leaves him with bumps on his throat and jaw line.

I'm big into the the tubed creams and the Edge Active Care line is by far the best of the lot. It provides good lubrication to your face without gunking up the razor. The oily skin one has a pleasant aroma and does a nice job on my skin.

I tried this for a while (as per recomended to me by my cousin) anyway, even though they say to only use about a dime's worth of cream, that is not enough to cover my entire face plus since it's cream, it's so thin, it feels like there is no cream on my skin at all and it's to thin to cover any hairs unlike gel which I now use and prefer over cream.

I was reading an article on Yahoo a while back that mentioned this product as being missed by consumers (apparently it is no longer on the market). Considering the lack of quality it displayed from my experience using it, those consumers should actually be overjoyed by it's demise.The product gave very poor, shall we say, "coverage". The amount to use as the directions stated would have been inadequate to shave a single cheek (facial cheek, that is!) let alone your entire face. It sort of reminded me of using shave cream that had gone totally flat in the can.If you are in the market for a non-aerosol product, any of the King-of-Shaves products is vastly superior to this anemic product. If it has in fact been taken off the market, hopefully it stays there.

I HAVE BEEN USING THIS PRODUCT FOR THE LAST THREE YEARS OR SO. IT HAS REALLY HELPED WITH MY OILY SKIN AND GIVES ME A CLEAN, CLOSE SHAVE. RECENTLY I HAD NO LUCK FINDING IT ON THE STORE SHELVES AND LATER HEARD THAT IT WAS DISCONTINUED. I WAS HAPPY TO FIND IT ON LINE.
