Great starter hula hoop for beginners. Bit noisy but works well

Arrived quickly.. easy to assemble.. and easy to use.. here's hoping the inches fall off as easily 🤞🏼

I’ve only had this 4 days so can’t attest to weight/inch loss but hopefully I can give you some tips…After struggling on and off all day when it arrived I eventually went on YouTube and immediately found a tutorial with a guy teaching a lady that looked my sort of size and shape. This was the most useful thing for me.Being so big I assumed I’d need all 24 links. Wrong. I am using 21 links. It needs to be ‘snug’.Reading so many reviews about the links breaking (they are brittle plastic) I marked two adjoining links so I always use those two links to open and close it. If they break I have 3 spares in the box lol.Once I got the hang of it (I rock backward & forward) I found I could do it all day EXCEPT… I simply can’t keep my arms up for that long! Doing 15/20 minutes at a time is all I can do because of my arms. I’m sure in time that will change but for now I’m hula hooping 15/20 two or three times a day.You will probably find you have a preferred foot to rock side to side or back & forth but eventually you should try and vary that movement and try swinging the ball the other way (not as easy as it sound).The ball is SOLID so make sure you have plenty of room and you cat or dog doesn’t try walking past when you’re in full swing 🙀When putting it together I decided to always have the screw heads facing down and the protruding piece of plastic on the triangular piece that goes inside the hoop to be facing down also.It’s noisy. I sprayed inside mine with dry lube to partly help with the brittleness of the links but to try and lessen the noise. Didn’t work. You won’t be able to do this and hear the TV at the same time - unless you have mega understanding neighbours 😄

I caved in and bought the weighted hula hoop as working out as a parent is challenging. I use this at any spare time and given moment which helps me stay active & work towards my weight loss goals. The weighted hula hoop is easy to put together. Make sure it’s fitted tight around your waist and you have tight layers of clothing underneath so it doesn’t catch or pinch your skin. If both of these are followed it will not hurt you at all. I found that swaying side to side or forward and back with my knees slightly bent helped keep the hula hoop going rather than treating it like an actual hula hoop. You should move as fast as you can to build up an efficient workout and to keep the weight going round. Overall I am happy with the product and have already recommended to family & friends.

Like many I have seen the weighted hoola hoop via social media and thought right after xmas ill give it a go.As this was at least half the price of the one that had gone viral I thought would buy it so in terms of pricing that's good.I tried and my partner too, we couldn't ge the ball to stay up long... I managed 3 spins. It took so much effort too..the ball continously stopped half way through the track and it's quite heavy. Now could be move but I tried for the evening and couldn't master it.Tried turning it around, taking out links to make tighter or not so tight nothing worked. Was very frustrating. The ball which in the information leaflet says for you to set up but mine was done already plus I noticed the boxes that every other seller has had theirs come in was orange but mine was black. Upon opening the bags item contained in some was split plus the ball looked like had been used, some marks on it, so I emailed seller who unfortunately wasn't very forthcoming in their email (no hello and just 3 words which wasn't becoming) so this in turn made me decide to send this item back.I have now decided to buy the actual viral named brand item from Amazon. Every video I have seen people of all ages and sizes seems to be able to do it with this and can keep going for 15 to 30 mins so goi g to go with one that I know will work hopefully.
