In a class, we received a shipment of these pruners for students to try out.It's made pretty clean cuts and the SK5 steel holds pretty well, only had to sharpen once (6 days a week use). Pretty neat and simple build. I like how the plastic handle angles out to hold the area between my thumb and index finger in place. I also like how the metal clip that keeps the pruners closed has a slot to snap into when being in use (one of my pet peeves for pruners!) and doesn't fall out.The only negative is that the plastic handles have grooves on them designed for grip. When working with recently irrigated landscape/plants, dirt builds up in there fast and my grip isn't as reliable afterward. I just make it a point to rinse it with the hose or scrub it later after work.Thanks for letting us test these.

Used these shears in my Urban Arboriculture class during pruning labs, and I was really impressed with how well they trimmed smaller branches on trees and shrubs. The grip tension was smooth and did not hurt my arthritic wrists. Handles were easily closed with a nifty clip. Great set of by-pass pruners!

Good, solid pair of hand pruners. Comfortable grip, and great spring action.

These pruners work great! I used them for multiple types of trees and palms and the blade sliced right through them! It hasn't needed to be sharped yet and they are like new! The grip of the pruners are fine and do not slip when pruning at different angles. The bypass blade makes it great for pruning. I would recommend the pruners to begginers, as they do not need much maintainance and are easy to grip.
