Remote Audio Rainman

I took the Rainman out for its first test run on a stormy day on the Oregon Coast. The goal was to capture the sound of crashing waves and distinctive sounds of a storm on the beach without the rain beating down on the zeppelin, and to protect the shotgun microphone inside. My first impression was, not being able to really fit the dead cat AND the Rainman together, was that the side and rear rejection of noise was incredible. An unforeseen benefit of this product. As for water absorption and attenuation, well, not a single sound of water droplets were recorded in light to medium rain and high winds.VERY satisfied with this product and I'm looking forward to much less post-production work when it comes to noise reduction.
