Definitely NOT FOR UPSC
This book contains very general knowledge about art and cultural aspects. It is definitely not aligned with UPSC syllabus and has a lot of unnecessary information which is obviously not good if the cover page says that it is for Civil Services Examinations. Many people are criticising Nitin Singhania's book and saying that it was bulky and now we got a lighter version, they need to understand that they're preparing for the top notch service and it requires knowledge. You can not clear the exam by reading 100 rs summary books.Conclusion- *Not for UPSC.* Basic introductory book. * Book condition is good, colourful and with lots of pictures* Good for general Evening Chai Time reading* Hardly an academic book but good for general public who want an overview of Indian culture

Very Interesting Book- Must Buy for UPSC Aspirants
I was eagerly waiting for this book to launch, from the moment I heard of Devdutt Sir's first launch for UPSC Aspirants. And it truly fulfilled my expectations. With so many story-telling images and tables, the topics became so easy to understand and comprehend. Along with that, I found ample exam-based questions in the book to follow a practical approach and strategy for my UPSC exam. I think this is a must-have book for all UPSC aspirants, to become thorough with culture and heritage-related topics that appear in the civil service exams.

Very smart book, precise, concise and creates interest in the subject.
I liked it way better than that painful Nitin Singhania. It was the worst book. It put me off art and culture completely. Thankfully I bought it and reading art and culture for the first time. Otherwise I would have flunked the subject.

One of the best books on Indian culture
This book is just perfect! It's an essential resource for all civil service aspirants. It just teaches the topics in such an interesting manner with tables and flow charts and solved questions from previous years' papers. The best part is the logic explained for our rich heritage and culture. Never knew I would gain such a deep interest in Indian history, with the help of this book.

A Nice Book of Facts to understand Indian Culture (arrived in poor condition)
Really annoyed by the dents and tears and poor condition in which the Book arrived.Otherwise, the Page quality is good.As far as the content, this book offers a fresh perspective. Do not necessarily agree with all of the facts presented but Devdutt Pattanaik puts it in a neat and concise manner(his scholarship is really good). Also many finer details/facts makes one curious for more

Don't buy for UPSC,book is for general reading only
Not for UPSC,not much details are given about the topics,at best good book for clerical exams and for layman reading just to increase knowledge and not preparing for UPSC ,if you are preparing for UPSC read class 11,12th fine arts NCERTs in addition read one out of either spectrum or nitin singhania for art and culture or if you have plenty of time read all the above books😁

Not UPSC'S BOOK,ITS LAYMAN'S BOOK
If you are buying for the purpose of UPSC exam it would not much help you, because after reading chapter, and start to make questions of UPSC most of questions can't be solved, better go for NCERT with Nitin singhania.
