Will takes your energy & spirit alongside his own
I read the excerpt of a warm hearted eager little boy in short pants and sandals in snowfall wearing socks wrapped round his fingers for warmth unadorned by necessity unashamed but glowing in goodness so invitingly visiting upon myself that I wished I had a little boy , a son with a sort of time travel oddity of out of placement among us and which time period was this little boy dropping out of? The twilight zone adventure of peculiarly meeting up with somebody who doesn’t belong - oddly unprepared & out of sync but gifted by the Angels so assuredly- it’s like learning an alternate language to speak with them and it carries you to where you’ve never been . That little boy woke up to Who we know now as the gifted guitarist taking atmospheric contagion . It’s Will who provides the carry through trance of a narrative where time changes to His , and we’re walking beside him Looking to find him - from sleep ! Where is that unguarded dropped down spirit carrying Heaven still, vestiges of those who have protection of Heaven not completely incarnated . The things that are in Will’s head in the stead are what was woken, by Rock and Roll ; falling in love completely with giving back the potent unlocked energies he carried. I feel myself hanging out in the summer dominated by the release of “Who’s Next” and I write into the margins where I was and who I was sitting beside forgetting I was only 9 years old! Wills mind occupies the spirit place again he’s giving voice looking out from a 12 year olds upright inhabitable blood and bones and he’s in those eyes looking when the guitar took over his fingers. Looks like Will Sergeant takes us on anAtmospheric transport and this quality was born in the blood. Genetically whatever you’re made of it’s given by the Ancestors you can’t choose it it’s your equipment that is called a brain and blood flow. But whatever lights up and carries a Saint into mysticismIt can only come by abandoning itself and letting itself be taken and filledI wonder how many hundreds of thousands, certainly have been listening to the outpouring of the energy the fluctuations and intonations and mystery of becoming impassioned and carried away by listening to Will Sergeant speaking through the inventive always using the guitar like no one else. He creates layers of atmospheric channeling and release and the endorphins rush changes physical chemistry in the responses given up by the audience or reader and Will takes You along , dear reader like a Sea Capitain Ferocious to drive the way through storm by shaking you alive to where the energy is fueled. So the gifted get filled with what they offer to us . Les and Will and Pete allextraordinary, kind, lovely, inhabited together to give to us - it had to come somewhat from the Port City of travels sailors spirit singing and working together raucous sea shantyTo get the back braking work fueled by raising up voices in song! It’s always the channel that’s filled in the vacated parts God took away to make room to fit the divine. I’mIn love with reading again from here, exactly finding a longing awoken. Now I’m most pleased and filled when reading. Good thing I am barley able to walk now.

The Real Life behind Real Great Music
While I read this book as a fan of Echo & The Bunnymen's music, I think anyone of any age as a fan of any kind of music would enjoy this book. As an Continental American I don't really appreciate how parts of England stilled showed the effects in the 1950's of bombing by Nazis from WW2. Effects that went beyond the structures. Reading how Young Will navigated life was a pleasure, even if it wasn't always a pleasure to him. But he tells it like it was, and you feel it with him. And you appreciate more the music that resulted from that Journey. We're still following you on the Journey, Will !! A book all would enjoy.

well…it’s a good story but….
Where is the ending??? Where is the story of the band post drum machine? What happens with you guys? The book just sort of plowed to a stop…excellent writing, very sad at points pertaining to Will’s family, but, was hoping for more on the bands career after being signed. Maybe his other book? I’ll go look..

Delightful and insightful
He had a tough upbringing but found joy in creating music and art. Quite handy with electronics and had much input in the composition of many of the songs early on.

Hilarious and Insightful
Will’s a genius so it’s not surprising he wrote a genius book. Can’t wait to try his recipe for soap n’ kidneys!
