Nice TV Tray/Desk for the price.
This item is just as pictured. It's the right size to use on my recliner while I work on my computer, or iPad. The legs fold up neatly for storage. Color is very accurate. Assembly is very easy (just pop the legs into the correct slots on the back of the tray). The legs also lock into position, and lock folded as well.

Arrived Damaged!
If only it were made better.... It arrived with one corner broken in pieces. Based on other reviews as well, it seems it is too brittle. Too bad it is not made better, the size and color would have been perfect.

Legs collapse easily
I have been searching for years for the right bed desk for eating and doing other things. I spend a lot of time in bed due to illness. I purchased a really expensive one from Levenger that ended up going back right away because it was broken out of the box (and probably would have been too heavy to use regularly anyway) and also tried a cheaper wooden bed desk from Bed, Bath, and Beyond that was also broken out of the box. I had the ErgoArc Laptop Desk for a little while but then realized that neither the cupholder nor the mouse pad tray actually fit onto one of the legs.I was excited to find this tray since it's my favorite color and I've had some luck with some IKEA products. Unfortunately, this is not one of them. My local IKEA sells the NORDBY Bed Tray for $9.90 (in black, red, and white) so if you're ordering this you're really paying for the color which doesn't seem to be available in the US and the convenience of not having to drive to an IKEA and brave the crowds. I had expected something a bit sturdier based on the positive reviews, but I think the quality is about what you'd expect for a $10 tray from IKEA. It is simple and lightweight compared with other bed desks/trays. Unfortunately, the legs do not stay locked firmly in place. The legs snap into just one tiny bit of molded plastic. If you're not careful when you move the tray and it catches on anything (like bedding), it will buckle in a hurry (first one leg goes and then often the other). I wouldn't recommend placing liquids on the tray even though there are cup holders. The quality of the tray itself is not that great either. At first glance it seemed really sturdy but it bowed under the weight of my MacBook Pro and also my breakfast (separately) which was just one giant ceramic coffee mug with oatmeal, a regular sized mug of tea, and a tiny mug with some nuts and cranberries, and the lightweight plastic tray that I'd carried it from the kitchen with. The plastic is not reinforced with a grid on the bottom the way some plastic drawers are so it will bow if items placed in the center are too heavy. I would not risk putting heavy items only to one side because the tray isn't sturdy enough. The color is quite pretty if you're a fan of purple (I'd describe is as orchid) but otherwise, it is not worth $27.79 (what I paid for it). I'm not sure how much use it will be as a desk since the legs are so unstable but it is nice to have a tray where I can put my food down. Bottomline: if I had known the legs were this unstable I would not have purchased it at this price even if it is my favorite color, but depending on what you want it for, it might be okay for your uses.

Simple design, sufficiently sturdy, and purple!
Not sure why Ikea doesn't offer this tray in the US stores. Love the simple design, the tray surface area is ample, the purple is a good purple, not as lavender as appeared on my monitor. The polypropylene plastic surface is sturdy enough for a few plates and bowls on top... perfect for my honey who lurvs munching, sitting in front of the television watching football. The legs lock into grooves when expanded as well as collapsed, easy to tuck away. Well worth the price paid (over 3x AED price - at current exchange rate)!

Great but breakable.
These trays are great, although a little delicate. I originally bought them at an Ikea store while on vacation and they were only $5. I do not live close to an Ikea store, so when one broke, I was really bummed that they are so expensive on Amazon. They are a perfect size for my kids and hold a plate of food really well. They are also great for coloring on, but the little clips that hold the legs can break fairly easily...we have already had two trays break. Overall, I am really happy with them, but you have to be a little careful when folding the legs.

I was very disappointed.
This tray arrived broken. It did not appear to be the fault of the packaging. It had to have been broken before shipping. I was very disappointed.

Great tray table!
Exactly what we needed for our 2.5 year old. Easy to store and pretty sturdy.
