Scientology is a subject I have kept at arms length based on crazy antics from celebrities like Tom Cruise
I was hesitant on this book because of the write up...Scientology is a subject I have kept at arms length based on crazy antics from celebrities likeTom Cruise...but once I cracked the cover I could not put it down... Im an avid researcher and I was shocked at how much detail Peter Moon had about the entire Scientology movement and how much true information L Ron had sniffed out to attract the International intrigue that he is so well known for. Weather or not you are interested in scientology or not, if you want a fun read that is full of "true history", government intrigue, and detailed insider information as the power struggles of each, you cannot go wrong with this book.

A great book for any Scientologist or for one wanting to know more.
One of the best books about the heart and soul of Scientology as it was originally intended.

A slow uneventful read at best
I am not sure why or how I read this entire book. I think partly, it was because I was stuck in a truck on an 11 hour drive to West Virginia for a ski trip. In between bouts of cabin fever where I would burst out singing "Country Roads" to wake everyone up and trying to get comfortable in the trucks bucket seats, I read this book. Page after page, expecting something, anything. I guess I was mislead by the title. There is more history of Scientology in this book than anything else. What happened to Ron Hubbard? If you want to know, this book will definitly not tell you. No one knows the truth probably as now everything with Scientology's history has become distorted. And NO, I am not a Scientologist, I stumbled upon this book by accident and simply gave it a fair day in court. I thought it would have more esoteric value, something interesting that I wasn't aware of, something "cooler"... But, alas... The beggining was meager, the middle was meager and the ending was most meager. A great book use as a tool to battle insomnia or brush up on the history of Scientology; but that's about it. I just wish there were more honest/realistic reviews on here before I read it. (which was about 2 years ago)

an autobiography and a lot more
An amazing book- this is mostly the author"s autobiography and spends a lot of its"s time when he is in the Sea Org during the seventies. He knew LRH personally and I regard it as an important historical document because of it. If you are pro or anti scientoloy or even if you"re just pro or anti Sea Org it"s a must read as it"s a work that most likely will never be repeated. The author isn"t the most intertaining writer I"ve read but it"s the information that"ll keep you hunting for more.- I know I will!!

A Sleeper of a book
If you are into L. Ron Hubbard and Scientology Peter Moon gives you all you need to know in this book. 4/5 of this book is about L. Ron Hubbard & Scientology 1/5 of the book (the last few chapters) are about Noble Drew Ali & the Moorish Science movement. Peter Moon also makes people cognizant of the hereditary relationship between so called native North American "INDIANS" and Africans from West and Northwest Africa namely the "Moors". Traditional M.S.T. Temple members might find the information radical. But I find it compelling and it warrants further research.

Not my favorite Montauk book.
I like the Montauk books, but found this one hard to follow. I prefer Swerdlow's writing on the subject. If you're a fan of Peter Moon, though, you'll enjoy it, he has an eccentric writing style.
