I purchased this product to use in my ski books. I was disappointed these are not normal with, they are very narrow! But I decided to try them anyway. I followed the simple instructions, heated the insoles and molded them to my feet. This worked exceptionally well, the insole molded perfectly to the bottom of my foot and initially they felt very comfortable but no more than an hour later my heels were killing me. Inside the orthotic is a hard plastic insert that extends from under the heel to under the arch. Unfortunately, that plastic isn't uniform under the heel, part of the heal is soft foam and part contains hard plastic within the soft foam. After about an hour my heel sank into the soft foam area leaving a ridge against the hard plastic that was very uncomfortable, leaving an indentation in my heel.
