Great clipper with little to no cracking noise when clipping your dogs nails
If you have a small dog who is anxious about nail trimming these clippers are a great asset to your grooming tool kit. I have a small Beaver Terrier and he hates his nails to be trimmed. But using these clippers have helped him make it through this painful (in his mind) process. These trimmers actually cut his nails and not just snap them off.I would highly recommend these trimmers for your pet.

Finally, a clipper that works!
Just received 7 minutes ago, opened package clipped my 70 lb dogs nails in 5 minutes. She normally hates getting nails clipped, these were so sharp and precise she actually let me clip them. Beyond impressed, diameter of the nail was not too big for the cutters, perfect for a lab sized dog. She has brittle nails and these cut 95% clean with very little splintering. I usually soak her nails first but was so eager to try these we just went for it. Full tang metal handles, no plastic to break. The lock does flop around a bit but could be secured with tape if it's a problem. Safety guard is ready to use or swing out of the way. My only wish was that it was made in the USA. ZERO REGRETS, BUY IT.

Should've bought this 14 years ago!
My 15 year old boy is terrified of groomers. Even when I'm clipping my own nails he is terrified of the sound of the nail clipper. So naturally I don't take him to the groomers as often and I tried to clip his nails which was a disaster. I bought an electeic trimmer and it takes hours before trimming his nails semi decently, plus a lot of mess. This Miller clipper just arrived in mail 30 minutes ago. In that time I manages to clip all his nails, without him even noticing, plus our other 2 dogs nails, and this review! It is super sharp, super quiet. At first I was very afraid, but after a few clips it seemed very easy. This thing is so sharp, one of the nails bled, and my dog didn't even notice!!!

Awesome. Slice through nails like butter. Big enough for large dogs.
I use these on my 100# German Shepherd. So much better than other clippers I have tried. Cutting easy + much less discomfort for doggo.

SAFETY BAR
GOT TO TRY THIS NAIL CLIPPER OUT TODAY. IT IS VERY SHARP,VERY QUITE,EASY TO HOLD. WHAT I DIDNT LIKE WAS THE MOVEABLE LEVER. DONT KNOW EXACATLY WHAT IT IS FOR. THINK IT IS SUPPOSE TO BE A SAFETY FEATURE THAT HELPS NOT TO CUT THE NAIL TO SHORT. THATS WHY I ONLY GIVE IT 4 STARS BECAUSE IT DIDNT HELP FROM CUTTING INTO QUIK.

Easy to use
Purchased these for use on a small puppy. They are well made and easy to use. Just the right size. The safety guard is handy. Nice tool for the job.

Sharp, effective nail clippers.
These are VERY sharp, they do not crush their nails, and make nail clipping completely painless. The guard on it is loose, and can get in the way if you are not aware of it.

Great clippers, with a few caveats -
I've had a love/hate relationship with these clippers for several years. I have owned three or four different iterations of these same clippers. I always start out loving them and how they can slice finely without putting too much pressure on the nails. But there are a few things to know -- it's not just you1. You don't need to buy the larger size clippers for large breed dogs. Many groomers have no trouble clipping Great Dane nails easily with this little clippers.2. The locking mechanism loves to spin around and get in your way. This seems to be the luck of the draw in some ways, because on some I've seen, it was fine/tight enough, but on others it was loose and spinning around.3. Same with the safety guard. This little spoon-shaped guard is supposed to prevent you from clipping too much nail at a time to prevent quicking. In reality, it's better practice to take just a sliver at a time - don't risk going too deep on an opaque nail. I would remove the safety guard if I was an ounce more motivated, because it seems like it's often blocking my view of the nail. I know this can be achieved by grabbing it with pliers but I have not done it.4. Nail clippers dull over time. This was the thing I never appreciated. How could everyone rave about these magical clippers when mine were so awful and my dogs hated them more and more each trim? Then I finally heard someone online say that they replace theirs a few times a year. What? I had no idea -- I thought I was supposed to buy it for life. Like anything with an edge, it can dull over time, especially if it's in a grooming bag/tack box in close proximity to grooming sprays, moistened brushes, bath items, etc. When you feel like you're doing everything right but the clippers ar starting to crush the nail instead of slicing through, you might need to sharpen or replace. I'm sure there are people who have had luck with theirs for a decade but that has not been my experience with either these red clippers or the orange Miller's Forge ones.5. If your animal is having a bad time with nail care, look into cooperative care. One common author on the subject is Deb Jones, PHD. These books/courses/whatever on nail care and other cooperative care will change your worldview and improve the experience for both you and your animal.Hope this helps!

This is a horrible product - too dangerous for small dogs
I purchased this product because it alleges to safely cut nails of small or medium dogs. It didn't. In fact it cut far too deeply despite purporting to have a 'safety stop bar'. My dog is small - under 10lb. The nail clipper cut deeper than it should have. There was no way to adjust the safety stop bar which meant the clippers cut more than a few mm. My poor dog yelped and bled. Do not buy these clippers if you have a amall dog.
