Good Stuff
I had to buy these to replace the broken ones on an old Matco toolbox lid. These things work great, the lid practically lifts by itself now. The original ones used plastic anchors which is why they failed. These are all steel which was the main reason I bought them. So if they're the right size for your application then you'll be happy with them. Great price, fast shipping.

Works as intended.
Used these struts on my Agio patio chaise lounge chairs. Had to drill one hole larger for the strut to mount onto the chair. Works very well and restored the function of the chair.

Exactly What I needed
I built a trash can bin with a lid and I needed something that would hold up the lids when placing trash in the cans. It took a bit of trial and error to figure out how to install them so the lid would stay up and in place. Once I figured one out, the second one went on very easily. I wish they came with instructions. I know they have them on the product page online but it's easier for me to have printed instructions than trying to read off my phone or a tablet.

Lost its gas, No instructions!!
It lost it gas on one shock 3 days after installing. No instructions, No screws come with it? I can't imagine how you can sell something like this without instruction? I'm a handyman by trade, and have never seen anything like this. Then after installing these guys, it didn't even hold up the bed. After hours of work. What a bummer, so now Will just use a stick to hold it up. I was hoping it would work so as not to bang my head each time opening and closing. I'm returning it!!

Camper shell door supports

Just junk
I'm not sure how these are rated so high. We ordered a few dozen of these for camper doors. Several were DOA or broke after literally a single use, all have lost pressure within a dozen uses, some even locked in the closed position. The ball ends are captive, making installation (and the inevitable replacement with a superior product) difficult and lubrication impossible and they're extremely gritty meaning that if the strut itself lasted longer than a month, those would probably fail. The paint is so thin and cheap and you can literally rub it off with your hand and they WILL rust after a week. In the summer. Inside a vehicle. The brackets are decent i guess?
