For limited use, it works well
Update: It has been 3 years since my original review. I did not grow a third arm or have any illnesses with this spray. Between the Hartz and the use of raid fumigators, flea traps, and foggers, I was able to rid my home of fleas. Recently, my new cat has started to bring them in again and I am going back to the routine that help rid of them last time.Original Post: First, I will acknowledge that this isn't for everyone and it does smell. It is a pesticide and yes they can cause serious harm. But it also kills fleas, which for some of us may cause more harm. I really can't stand living with fleas. My body reacts strongly to flea bites in an allergic way and one bite can prevent me from getting a good night sleep for about a week (by the way, Benedryl liquid and fire ant sting first aid gel really helps). My cat brought the fleas in the house, even though he was taking Advantage. At first the fleas left me alone because they seem to only love the Cat. But after the cat past away (possibly from to a flea-born illness), I became their main target and they were out for blood. I tried foggers and even flea traps. The treatments reduced the fleas but still those buggers exist. That is when I went to a combination of insect repellant on my skin and Hartz home spray on my clothes. Yes, I know it says keep it off your clothes but once I sprayed my shoes and pant legs with this stuff and myself with deet insect repellant, the fleas stayed off my skin but contacted the clothes and died. Repellant alone would keep them off me, but it did not get rid of them and any time I didn't have the repellant, they knew. They always knew. The Ultraguard killed them and each day the sitings become less and less. So, the population of fleas is dying down. I am still using foggers and flea traps to catch strays and kill the larvae and eggs, but I expect to have a flea free home soon. In the meantime, I haven't been bitten, which is great for my health, and the fleas keep dying.

Would recommend
Perfect for my situation. I didn’t have an all out flea infestation, but my yard is known to have some fleas on Tallahassee Florida considering it rains a lot in the Fall. It’s tough to control the fleas after hurricane type rain fall. My lot is also shady. But I started to realize a few bites on my ankles, and every time just going to get mail, a few fleas sticking to my pants. This leads to the fleas getting in the house, carpet, etc. I left the house for a long weekend for some traveling. And just before leaving, sprayed this bottle everywhere. Behind toilets, under beds, all over the floor. Started from the back of my home to the door I was exiting. When I came back, nothing. Fleas will keep you up at night thinking they are on your body. And I have not had that scare since I sprayed this all over. I check myself every hour or so in the house, and nothing. Finally has a sense of insurance.Only negative, it will make the areas you spray sticky for a few days. Shoes will stick, bare feet will get clammy, etc. After about 2-3 days, that will go away though. It’s been 6 days since spraying, and I would definitely use this product again to rid my flea farm.

Works very well along with other preventive procedures.
Works very well along with other preventive procedures. We live in Western Washington, flea country.TIPS: after bombing and/or spraying for fleas be sure to wash everything thats loose, Afghans etc., spray in dryer on clothes before drying cycle, throws, etc., spray on dryer vent before drying, spray inside vacuum after you empty vac, wash pet bedding "frequently and often", spray under beds too. (Use common sense when spraying in your vac. Be careful not to hit electrical parts, unplug it too.)Overkill is the rule to win this battle. Vac a couple times a week is smart. Don't forget the hard floor surfaces too. These procedures work DARN well. Do them as often as your circumstance requires. This is why there are NO fleas at our house and we have two cats. (Fleas like all critters but cats more because of 105 degree body temperature.)BTW: local stores are always in short supply or totally out of flea killing products when you will probably want them, flea season hits everyone!👏 Thank God for Amazon with regard to getting flea stuff you want quickly.

Worked For Me!
Ok, the stuff does smell bad, but it works. My son's room had it the worst. We didn't know where the fleas came from, but he would always wake up with a lot of bites. I tried some flea carpet powder...didn't work. I bought two bottles of this but only needed one! After I finished the first bottle I waited to see if I needed to break out the second one, but nope! They were gone! Now we just got two kittens and the lady forgot (or didn't know) that the kittens had fleas. I DESPISE fleas, so I looked online to see how to remove them from kittens so young. They were too young for the popular flea removal brands. I found out how to remove the fleas from the kittens, then sprayed the spray on the carpets, couches, and seat cushions. I usually spray everything down and keep the kittens in the bathroom until everything is dry. The kids and I keep clear of the rooms I spray as well until everything is dry. So far so good.

No more fleas on my feet, good short term solution
Since flea season, my cats have brought in a lot of fleas with them. After spraying this product I dont get fleas jumping on my feet and dont notice fleas jumping on my from my furniture. Its a great short term solution. You will never actually get rid of fleas unless you vacuum, wash sheets, and get the pet treated for fleas. It doesnt smell bad either, and is great for helping control the problem until you get the right product to kill the fleas on your pet. Its totally worth it, and inexpensive too. I would rely on this alone to get rid of the fleas. Also make sure to air the room out a little before entering again, I got a bad head ache a few times.
