Only for very careful 3 year olds.
I bought this for my grandson who will be 3 soon. I felt the pieces were not sturdy enough for him to play with for awhile and it didn't work as well as I thought it would. I put it in a spare room to give him in a few months but he spotted it and loved how colorful it is. It took us a couple of tries to get one piece inserted correctly but we did manage it. I think a 4 or 5 year old might like it more than a 3 year old.

My grandson loves this set. Be careful, because the vehicles are tiny and may be a choking hazard for younger ones.
