This card reader has served me well for 6+ years. Works on Mac / PC with no issues. Logs into all gov websites without a problem.

[UPDATED REVIEW]Wow!! After writing the below one star review Saicoo contacted me to make it right. They credited me the amount of the damage SD card so I could get a replacement and sent me another unit to try out. I don't have to tell you how rare it is to find a company that will do that. They deserve your business.IMPORTANT TECHNICAL UPDATE: The card reader works fine, the problem is there are no instructions and the stencils on it are difficult to understand. That is why my micro SD card got stuck, it was oriented incorrectly. DO NOT insert a micro SD right side up (pins down) in the end port or it will get very stuck.I suggest that Saicoo change the stencil on the side to show pins on the SD card icon and change the stencil on the back to show pins on the Micro SD card icon. This would correct the confusion.Here is the correct way to insert the cards:SD Cards:Must be inserted in the side port upside down (gold pins up).Must be inserted in the end port right side up (gold pins down).Micro SD cards:Must be inserted in the side port right side up (gold pins down). Note: about half of the Micro SD sticks out.Must be inserted in the end port upside down (gold pins up) Note: it goes in very deep and only 1/8" of the Micro SD sticks out.<<<>>>Original Review: This product is flawed, poor design or bad QC. I didn't even get a chance to see if it worked. I opened the package gently inserted my new 64 GB micro SD in the end and that was it. It was stuck, as if it had been glued in and could not be removed. I was so concerned about removing it that I forgot to even plug it in and see if it worked. To make a long story short the $20 micro SD card was destroyed (along with my personal files stored on it) while trying to get it out; it broke into pieces.Afterwards, I did try the other ports. The side Micro SD port accepted the broken Micro SD without jamming, both standard SD ports (end & side) took the SD adapter without jamming, but the end port is not properly aligned with the hole and is deeper than the side one causing the card to get jammed.I will contact Amazon returns for a refund for this reader, but what can I do about the $20 Micro SD that was destroyed because of it? Saicoo should cover the damage that their product caused.<<<>>>

This works really well!

I bought this to use with my Dell OPTIPLEX 980 running Windows 10. I received it well packaged with no damage. After reading the limited but easy instructions, I plugged it in my computer, the light did not come on the device, the computer did not acknowledge it was plugged in, there was just nothing. I inserted the micro SD card for which I bought the device and still nothing. I plugged it into my wife's newer laptop computer and received the same results as my computer. I can not say with any certainty if it is the device or if it is because I am running Windows 10, or that I have an older computer with USB 2.0 ports. I can say that I have purchased a device that does not work.This is an update to my one stare rating:After posting my above review, I must say I am surprised by this seller! I purchased the Saicoo USB 3.o 4 in 1 Memory Card Reader/writer - with a 13 cm flexible USB cord. I received it and could not get it to work at all. I left my feedback for the item with a one star rating and chalked it up to either the device or my computer but unsure which. The price was low so I just let it go. Without asking the Saicoo company sent me a replacement device at no cost to me. I received the replacement and plugged it in to my computer and it works just fine. I am impressed with the customer service I received, Saicoo could have easily pocketed my money and said sorry about your luck, but instead went the extra mile to insure I had a working product. Thank you.

It does what it says it does - we needed the device for something specific related to the military and we received the item overnight as promised and it was amazing and it was perfect for what we needed so I recommend that anybody that needs this type of thing should order it from this company

Crazy fast, works as described. I tested copying the same files from my camera's card using the pc's built-in reader: over 20 minutes. Copied via this reader on usb3: less than 20 seconds.

Voila un petit lecteur de carte bien pratique et en USB 3.Chez moi ça marche parfaitement mais je n'ai pas d'USB 3 sur mon ordi.Je testerai ça chez un ami et vous dirai si le débit est bien à la hauteur de ce qu'on attend.L'intérêt pour moi était sa connectique très fine avec son petit câble.Sur ces chers ordis à la marque pommée, les ports USB sont très rapprochés les uns des autres et les lecteurs de cartes avec le port USB moulé dans les bloc plastic obstrueraient l'ensemble des ports USB. Ici tout reste accessible!Donc très bien!

This is a very practical device, and a good alternative to some other USB card readers.The main feature I like is the flying lead. I've used fixed USB card readers in the past, and they are either too bulky for laptops, or worse, provide a nice sticky-out bit on tower cases for you to hit your knee on and shear off. The small plug nearly eliminates both these problems.Further to it's credit is the USB 3.0 connection, that really does speed up reading all those 24MP pictures off my camera. I've not timed it against anything else, but the speed increase over USB 2.0 devices is quite marked.I may not have much use for the dual slots, but it does provide a backup slot in case, like my internal card reader, the contacts become worn and intermittent. As this is probably the main reason for failures, you're almost getting two readers for the price of one!In all it's a good design, works well and appears to be reliable.
