Budget Oriented Protection | Your Mileage May Vary
TL;DR - This is a very reasonably priced hard case that will offer a degree of protection that is commensurate to it's cost. It'll handle the typical impacts that can occur in daily transport, but I don't know if it would survive getting hit by a car or falling off a mountain.DISCLAIMER - This review sample was provided to me free of charge. The opinions expressed are solely my own with no input from either manufacturer or Amazon.INITIAL IMPRESSIONS & USAGE- Build quality is fairly solid. It's no Pelican or Nanuk, but it'll take a beating. The hard outer shell is much lighter feeling compared to it's more expensive counterparts, but this might be sufficient depending on your use case. Would I trust this case to withstand the harshest conditions; absolutely not, but would I trust it to carry my equipment locally from job to job, sure.- There is a a gasket seal lining the rim of the top and bottom of the case. I'm not going to submerge the case to test it's water resistance, but comparatively speaking it should be fine in a regular downpour. I absolutely would not trust it in the ocean though.- Beyond that, the handles, latches and hinges all seem fairly robust and when used appropriately should perform adequately.GRIEVANCES- The inclusion of smaller diameter pick and pluck foam is welcome, though I do wish a bottom layer lining was included. As it stands, if you remove any foam, your equipment will be touching the case walls. I utilized the foam I removed to line the bottom of each section I removed, which is far from ideal, but works in a pinch.CONCLUSIONLike any other product, there is an optimal use scenario. This particular case whilst offering solid impact protection and reasonable weather resistance is still a discount offering and as such I cannot recommend it for the most extreme of scenarios, but it still has utility.Considering the price to performance, it's still a pretty decent offering and I have no issues recommending it to anyone on a budget provided they understand the limitations of the case.4/5 Decently Protected Cameras
