Very informative with great pictorial views of the eye.

beginners guide
Some excellent advice. General overall for eye health and vision. But not much in actual recommendations. E.g. supplements but not amounts. It is a great resource for deciphering before or after a medical visit. I will look at it befor eye exams, and if there are any details i need to remember. I have started ‘age’ related therapies too.

Good information but
I have used a library copy of the 2014 edition of this book in doing preparation for a low vision support group that I facilitate. As an available resource, owning it made sense. Amazon search put this newer 2021 3rd edition as the updated version. I noted that it had switched from hardcover to paperback, but what wasn't obvious was that the size was changed to smaller pages and print, Not what people with low vision needs are going to find reader friendly. The reviews were minimal and I can see why. Edition 3 is not an improvement but a mistake on the part of the author and the publisher. Buyer beware!

lacks cornea information
I have several Mayo books. Overall this was an informative book. However, it had little information on cornea problems. It was very informative about macular degeneration and other eye issues.

Eyes are far more complex than this book talks about
As a nurse I expected more information that I didn't already know
