I purchased this item so that I am able to purchase my own music and manager at my leisure. Turns out you will be forced to work with a company named Spectrio, that weasel their way to make you pay. In order to manage how I intended, I would need to pay for a subscription with this third party.

The 9000 was a little challenging to set up if you could not use the software. The earlier model (8000) lasted for a couple of years. This one started to malfunction within 2.5 months. It just died - had it 3 months.

We were looking for a music on-hold system for our business that could be managed via the web, so I was drawn to this system based on its feature set. After using the player and the Cloudstream web management portal, we were impressed with the features and how easy it was to use.SetupSet up was simple and took only a few minutes. After receiving the new player, I powered it up and connected it to our Ethernet and our phone system and then registered the product on the Cloudstream site.Music On-Hold ServiceWhen we registered our player on the Cloudstream website we were given two options for service. One a free option that would allow us to manage our player in a very simple way and the second a premium option that gave us access to advance scheduling features and a whole slew of professionally voiced messages and hundreds of background music tracks. We opted for the $9.95/month premium service, which allowed us to drop our expensive old message on-hold service. Cloudstream also provided a free personalized on-hold message that we were able to incorporate into our production. We also took advantage of their custom message service that allowed us to get on-hold messages that were fully customized to our business.Background Music ServiceWe are also using the optional Cloudstream background music service ($29.95/month), which gives us 70+ stations to choose from. All the stations are commercial free and are licensed for playback in our business -- turns out the music that we had been using in our business was not legal (yikes!!!). Another cool feature is that we could schedule our music to change at different times of the day and we can even insert commercials into the music streams giving us our own personalized music station for our business…really cool feature!The Final WordThe IntelliTouch OHP 9000-IP with the Cloudstream message on-hold & business background music services proved to be an awesome addition to our business…and the great part is that we only needed this one player to do both. Managing our business audio is now very simple and legal! If you’re considering a message on-hold player or looking for an awesome business music service, look no further than this awesome player.

If I could rate this product a negative number I would... Everything about the set up, videos, FAQ's is awful. No support to speak - Extremely difficult to set up and use. You MUST be a AV or IT graduate in order to set and use. DO NOT PURCHASE if you value your time.

I have used OHP units for decades. This is by far the coolest one they have ever made. I have never had an out of box failure. These units are simple to install and customize. I have this unit playing music on hold for 18 of my restaurants. I saved alot of money switching from Mood music to the OHP unit. I would totally recommend this as all or part of your audio solution for any type of business.

After only one week I am not able to save or update anything on this player!
