cheap, works-demonstrate "alarm" sound to concerned peoples...the alarm sound is a mild beeping sound. I purposely set the alarm off and i was told my "phone was beeping" and my "fire alarm battery was low" so demonstrate the alarm sound to others or it may be ignored. Nice to view temp without opening freezer door and is accurate with other sensors i have. The display is not illuminated so you need other ambient lite to see readout. Route wire through corner of door gasket or other soft place in gasket to keep from leaking cold air.

have used for several years on multiple fridges and freezers, reliable and accurate
easy to use I tested against a fluke thermometer and they have been accurate. it has become habit to glance at the display when walking by or opening the door and it has caught several freezer faults [sadly, leading to freezer replacement]. This is accurate and easily set up and read. Alarm could be louder but we've heard it when needed so haven't needed an air horn... we are not without one of these for all refrigerators and freezers we have.Good quality and usability.

Well one small problem
The cord does not sit flat enough that it allows the gasket on freezer to buckle a bit. This allows a small amount of air into the freezer creating water and then ice starts forming. Otherwise it works great. Not sure how to combat this yet. One suction cup did not want to work, one did.

Works great
Able to monitor freezers and refrigerators and head off problems before they get extreme and cause loss of food.

Cheap insurance!
I have three of these in use. Two have been being used on freezers in my barn that we don't open every day but we are in the barn daily. They seem to do a great job of monitoring the internal and external temperatures. The two things I would change is I'd like the volume to be louder and I'd like a constant alert. As they are they work, especially if the freezer is in a populated area. But they only beep a few seconds each minute so you've got to stick around or look at them visually and read the temp. But it does save you from opening the freezer to verify it's working. If you leave the door open while you're stocking or taking things out you can expect the alarm to sound but you can turn the alert off. Just don't forget to turn it back on! All in all after almost a years use I'd say it's easily, money well spent.

Works great
Bought this after we found our last freezer died with over 200 lbs of meat, great to be able to check the temp as you walk by and to know if this temp is off there will be an alarm that will give us a change to save the food before all is lost.

LOOK at the Picture Carefully, it is not 2 Fridge/Freezer temps with one external view of the temps BUT
2 separate sets of one internal and one external temp. I thought it could be used for each Fridge (1 for freezer part, and 1 for the fridge part) but was wrong, and some how just read the Title and Description and FORGOT to LOOK at the Picture.. It does have 2 Temps but the other is the ROOM Temp. Not sure why even have that in the Design? Most people have a Thermometer for the room, plus because you connect it to a Fridge the room Temp will be a little off. The Temp of room on the fridge and the one in the room are NOT showing the same. Not enough to make a diff, but still a useless "Room Temp" part of it. (Bought during Fall, so will recheck during Winter and Summer ... which I am sure will be a bigger diff of room temp's). This is reason I dropped to 4 stars. Why have 2 of these on a Fridge that has both? OK for just a Freezer, or Just a Mini Fridge, but not a normal fridge/freezer (Which the Title and Description makes you think it is for) would mean you would have 2 room temps on the same appliance. The Title and the Description makes one think it is for a Fridge and Freezer, I should have looked at the Picture more and would have seen 2 temps, but only one suction piece. I dropped it to 3 for poor title and description, and dropped it to 2 because they expect us to look at the picture and see only one plunger. I own 2 Fridges with freezers, and 2 separate Freezers but have Thermometers already for them. Needed them for the Fridges, so ordered 2, so have 2 on one fridge, and none for the other, which is why now down to 1 star. Lastly, I understand a "Room" temp is important if kept where there is large temp changes or seasonal temps ... but then if one keeps it in the Garage/etc you already place a Room Temp Gage, and not on the metal of the Fridge/Freezer.

Died within 6 months
The suction cup simply won't stick to a shelf or the inside of a refrigerator. It's small and worthless.1 of the 2 probes has failed. This happened within 4 months of purchase, but I was a bit in denial until it got progressively worse. Initially, the alarm would sound about once a week intermittenly for a few hours. Then it was every few days, and eventually was alarming almost every day.I tried new locations and new batteries. It didn't matter. The alarm would sound indicating that the refrigerator had become too warm, when it clearly was not.I bought this as an alarm for a power out situation we faced on a refrigerator in the basement. It does alarm if it gets too warm, but it has so many false alarms!
