C&S Wild Bird EZ Fill Suet Basket, Green

These are nice and tough, and work perfectly. I am impressed for the price! The birds have figured out how to unclasp the chain, but it mostly gives me a laugh when they throw it down once empty.

These suet feeders are easy to use with a simple design. They're sturdy, don't rust, and last for ages. The price is unbeatable! I've shopped discount stores and big box stores and Amazon's price is the best.

I bought two of these for slices of apples, cabbage, etc., and hang them in our chicken coop. Our chickens LOVE them. You can bend the metal a little but otherwise they are well made. Nice to have the chain to hang them up.

At the rate that the raccoons have been stealing my suet feeders, I cannot afford to pay much for them! Thank goodness I found these online. I bought a bunch of them. Although they aren't made of very heavy gauge wire, it's strong enough to resist the raccoons breaking into them. Of course, that means they just find a way to pull them down and make off with them, even if you hang them up using a stronger hook than the one that comes with it (my only complaint - the chain/hook provided is not at all strong). However, at the price they charge for these - bare $2 apiece - it practically costs me more for the suet cake they make off with, than I've paid for the replacement suet feeder! So happy I found these on Amazon. Now I can continue to feed the poor birds, who keep having their suet stolen by those pesky raccoons!

I wish this company (Manufacturer) would add a hanging hook to these. I bought some from a different company for 50 cents more and it has much better hanger than this brand. NOT THE SELLERS FAULT ...I am happy with the seller and getting it on time and it is like it is advertised. It definitely is easy to use and does the job.. I have found the chain to be a bit too thin and breaks sometimes, but for the money it is worth it still. I don't hang mine by the chain that is attached. I either break the thin chain off or wrap it out of the way so it does not get in way of bird's eating. I add my own hook that I reuse (bought on amazon S HOOKS of various sizes - I like about 3-5 inch long to give woodpeckers space at top and also not too long so woodpecker feels more vulnerable if closer to the ground when I hang it on the metal shepherds hook that is about 6 ft high before in the ground. Woodpeckers love the suet I have bought on here that says for woodpeckers. Always bring suet in before rain or snow if not covered or else throw suet away if left out in rain for more than a day or two. The suet gets NASTY DEADLY bacteria and it is very bad for birds if wet. Also, don't leave suet out for weeks without throwing it away and replacing. I do not let a suet hang more than 7-10 days if dry weather and then throw it away and put a new one out. It is cheap enough and I do not want to harm the birds. I do not feed suet in summer because our temperatures get too hot and very humid..not healthy for birds either. It is difficult to clean suet cages because one should use 1 part bleach to 9 parts of water and thoroughly rinse, rinse and rinse. To me, the time and inhaling the bleach and water to rinse seems dumb. I am now throwing the suet cage away after about 2 weeks and putting new ones. Cheap and simple.

The media could not be loaded.  This suet cage works beautifully. Birds can see the suet in the cage, nibble at it, then fly away. Not much falls to the ground, and if any crumbs do fall, the wild birds swoop in and take it up! We are very happy with this product! It is clean, cost effective, and keeps birds, bees and butterflies happy. If nature is happy, our flowers and trees are happy! We want to purchase more for our front yard!

Sturdy, easy to use and clean, suet holder. Would be a good buy even at regular price.

Inexpensive, easy to use and it works for birds. Only problem is it also works for bears.
