Vivere Brazilian Style Double Cotton Hammock with Polyester End Strings, 450 lb Weight Capacity (Island Breeze)

I am SO disappointed in this purchase! the photos on Amazon were absolutely gorgeous, which is what inspired me to buy this hammock in the first place. The first photo I included in my review is a screenshot of what they said they were selling. when it arrived, it looked absolutely nothing like the photos that they advertised. The crocheted lace was nothing more than a couple rows of crappy fish net looking stuff... No crocheted flowers, no luxurious tassels, just about to in a stuff that looks like it should be hanging off of a fishing boat and to frayed strings every seven or eight in that I guess was supposed to be the tassles. It looks absolutely awful. Had I known this is what it would have looked like I never would have bought it. Absolute false advertising, absolute bait-and-switch products, the seller should be ashamed. I will be contacting Amazon and having them look up my review so this doesn't happen to anyone else who buys this hammock. Ridiculous. if no stars was an option, I would have given them that.

This is a beautiful hammock and very sturdy...but it's too long. I saw the 13 feet after I ordered it and hoped for the best but unfortunately, it was way too long for our area. I have the hammock/stand combo by the same company and I need the exact same hammock but I'm having the hardest time finding it. Everywhere I check does not have the hammock in that size without a stand. This is super frustrating..thus the 4 star. The product ID's are always the same so it's a bit misleading. If you think you're getting the same one that comes with the stand, think again. If you're looking for a super long amazing hammock then this is perfect.

This was the worst hammock I’ve ever bought! I keep this hammock underneath my patio far away from the elements yet within a month it developed MILDEW! It is impossible to get out too. This is the first time this has happened to be with a hammock. Horrible!

Soooo comfortable & highly recommended! If you have ever chilled in a hammock on your vacation, that feeling can last beyond your time off- This relaxing hammock turned my boring backyard into a backyard retreat. As an Amazon shopper I wanted the best for the best PRICE-- so I ordered 2 hammocks, one a little less expensive than the Vivere and this one----the Vivere wins!! Material is better quality & the width is just right. If your wondering 2 person vs. 1 person hammock, I recommend the 2 person for EVERYONE- the width on this hammock is perfect for sideways lounging which has become my favorite way to be lazy! So comfortable & extremely durable- I've been lounging in it with my pups for a whole month with & no complaints from any of us---well, I guess I do have one wish-would LOVE a sewn-in drink holder! Margaritas anyone?!?! It's Simply wonderful!!

It's perfect! It is made of canvas material...it will stain if left in weather. This is more of an indoor type...perfect for a covered porch or patio.

I bought this item as an extra for the Vivere double hammock with space-saving stand. I thought that it might be a little longer than the original and it was. I had to put the hanging hooks on the stand six spaces down instead of three. If it stretches, I guess I'll put a knot in the strings to shorten it. But it works for me. Oh, the item description says that it includes a zippered carrying bag. Mine did not. It would have been good to have it, though.9-22-2017 comment: I was curious about some of the other hammocks which had great Amazon reviews and ordered one in the same price range as this one. It was OK but definitely inferior to Vivere in fabric quality, stitching detail, and especially the hanging ropes and loops. For my purposes, Vivere is the only way to go!

I've had this hammock in two different colors (which are slightly different sizes, as well) for about 3 years. I bought them after trying a friend's hammock for a week, and liking it. I sleep in a hammock most nights for at least some of the night, and sometimes all through the night, so I'm sort of a full-time hammocker, but I still have a bed. I've always wanted to get to full-time hammocking, as when I can sleep the whole night through, my back loves me the next day.I was doing really well with that goal this fall and early winter, but then I suddenly was struggling with back pain in the hammock and general feelings of being uncomfortable. I was thrashing a lot. I tried everything I could think of to adjust the hammock, and couldn't put my finger on the problem. I was doing really well at relaxing, but sleeping was hard, and I was waking up feeling crumpled and cramped; as though something was off. I finally decided to see if something was wrong with the hammock itself. I measured it and the middle stripe was 10 inches longer than the edge of the hammock. It was all stretched out, and even though I was laying on the diagonal, I was folding in half as the hammock warmed and stretched in the night.I ascribe to the idea of "buy a cheap tool, and if you ruin it, buy the good one." That's what I'm doing. This was a very good introduction to hammocks. It was a good cheap tool in that it wasn't so cheap I couldn't get a feel for them and it wasn't so expensive I felt I couldn't justify the price to try it. Over the years, I've altered them a bit, to give myself something to pin underquilts to, and that sort of thing, because again, inexpensive hammock. I've really worn this thing out, in the best way.If I wasn't sleeping in this hammock, I'd probably not replace it yet. For someone who just wants a backyard lounger, this will probably last much longer than it did for me. It's very comfy for a lazy lounge, or a short doze, stretched out or not. If you want to try sleeping full time in a hammock, this is a great starting point. But know that you are going to want to upgrade in 6 mos. to a year to a higher quality hammock --- this one just won't last that long. As a middle ground, this is a great choice for someone starting their hammocking journey.

So comfy, sturdy and feels safe. Easy to get in and out of too

This is the second set of these straps we have purchased, as we purchased a second hammock for our backyard trees. We have taken these camping with us several times, and are nearly always able to find somewhere suitable to install a hammock since the length can be varied so much (wrap it higher and/or more times around a tree or pole for a shorter distance, once and/or lower down for a longer distance). Once installed tightly, we have never had any issues with it moving down the tree, etc. They are also very easy for one person to put up. Highly recommend.

After three seasons of regular spring/summer use, our original Vivere Double Brazilian Hammock finally reached its end-of-life. In searching for a replacement, I was pleased to learn Amazon sold a non-bundle option (just the hammock, no stand). All told, the colours and comfort in our new hammock are on par with the original. However, we did notice a slight change. Our original hammock had a u-shape/horseshoe style piece of metal inside the hanging loops - likely to protect the ropes from premature wear. This new hammock does not include this feature. I am unsure if this was a manufacturing oversight -or- if it's a redesign. For now, I'm docking the hammock down to 3 stars until we have a better sense of whether it will hold up or not!

Love Love Love this hammock. We have been using it for more than a year now and it has provided everyone with many hours of nap time. It is beautiful and top quality. As birds in the spring are apt to do it periodically gets pooped on but I simply throw it into the washer and it washes up well and hang to dry. Well made and more than worth the money even if it was 2 or 3 times the price of what we paid. Amazon also had it on our doorstep within a day of ordering!!!
