Best paper - blows Arches out of the water
First paragraph is about packaging. It is a crap shoot how it's packaged. That's not Hahnemuhle's or this specific seller's fault so it's annoying to see 1 star reviews because of packaging. I ordered 3 blocks that came from different locations, same seller and two were just in the bag while the 3rd was in a box. File a complaint with Amazon so they might fix the issue. Luckily, there was very minimal damage on the corners of one block and I don't paint to the edge anyway. If I really cared, I'd cut a new edge. But that's the risk with ordering online. The paper is amazing. Pricey, a little, but it's worth it. The vegan sizing helps with consistency, where Arches has bad batches here and there (lately, more often it seems). The flow and ability to lift is fantastic- this paper can take a scrubbing! I don't think I'll use anything else.

For those who struggle with Arches and want flow, liftablity, and pigment movement
If you struggle with watercolor wet in wet and blending on other artist grad watercolor papers, this is your new best friend. This paper has the high quality of arches 140 lB cold press but the movement, liftablity, and pigment flow that arches doesn't have. For a long time I painted with arches thinking I was doing something wrong. Nope! It wasn't me it was the paper.

Better than Arches
I am a watercolor artist and first tried this paper several weeks ago, it has now become my favorite. Arches paper has fallen behind in quality, however, the Hahnemulhle performed better, held water better and texture was mid grade and not too heavy.

NOT the same paper it was a year ago!!
Hahnemuhle "Collection" watercolor paper has been a thoroughly wonderful textured cold-pressed paper for a while now, and worth the extra money it charged for the experience. However, that has now changed. After some research by myself and others, it was discovered that the company "changed 'felt'" in 2021 that is now showing up in stores, and that the new felt "has given the cold press a different character but is not considered to be defective." (I'm quoting the email sent to me by the company.) Speaking only for myself here, I am NOT HAPPY with that new change (please see photo), as it is nowhere near the wonderfully textured surface of the previous Collection paper; in fact, it hardly has ANY texture to it, barely qualifying as cold-pressed, in my opinion. The first time I noticed this, a couple of months ago, I figured it was a bad batch and sent it back to Amazon and asked for a replacement. Sadly, it was replaced with a similar batch number (first three "M2R") with the same problem. That is when I contacted the company and learned of their new felt supplier. Hahnemuhle stated they are committed to excellence, stand behind their product, their felts are certified and unique, etc., etc., but I can tell you that this paper is subpar and I ended up cutting all ten 300-pound sheets into swatch cards, which is NOT the ideal way to use expensive watercolor paper! That's the bottom line. You can use your own artistic judgment about what you want in a watercolor paper. I personally am switching to Arches Rough and Kilimanjaro.

This has wrong photo (it is not 300 lbs, it is 140 lbs, but 300gm
It’s wonderful paper- better than Arches in my opinion. I like it better than most cold pressed papers, it is finer, even though it is labeled cold press. So while I am disappointed this is not the thicker 300 lb paper, I apam glad I got to try it. I think I might be able to find it less expensively elsewhere though, and still am looking for the 300 lb paper. Please correct the photo as I am giving you a 4 rating instead of a 5 rating due to inaccurate photo which shows the thicker paper and will not order from you again unless changed and priced appropriately. And I use a lot of watercolor paper!

Excellent Paper
Really nice watercolor paper block. I love the blocks, no need to tape paper, just paint on the block.I like the size, and how absorbent this paper is great for wet on wet techniques.
