I used my last Kai blade and decided to see what new blades were available. I bought this and the Rockwell, but I have not got around to testing the Rockwell since I have been pleasantly surprised by the Bigfoot blades performance. I have been using Kai blades for about two years. As noted elsewhere, I found for myself Feathers are very sharp, dull quick and nick on a daily use basis. I did like for me after a several days of beard growth, the Feather gave a extremely close shave so that a next morning shave was simply a clean up. The Kai blade was a compromise daily shave blade, near to the Feather in closeness, with less nicks. I have sensitive skin, course hair, thin beard that grows in multi-directions. This blade leaves my face as smooth as Feather without the nicks. The Bigfoot is more forgiving in multiple passes than the Kai or Feather. This blade is not recommended for coarse, thick hair, however, as mentioned, I have a thin beard. So for me, after shower, I find I do not have a problem with this blade. I really like printed blade's edges so I can remember which side I used the previous day. One edge equals one shave with multiple passes. I have found that I could flip the blade over and got 3 good shaves and pulled on the fourth. In general, If I just wet and shave, I find that blade will pull a bit. This has been my go to blade for a month since I received the blades . I do take breaks from shaving and this blade after shower will shave smooth without issue.

These are great and so much more cost affective than normal razors. I bought these to go with my Bigfoot Shaves safety razor. Love it love these. The only problem is that sometimes the blade will rust if I leave the razor on the side of the shower (with no water hitting it). However, I got 50 blades in the pack so it’s not a problem to just replace the blade.

I've received a safety razor and two orders of blades from big foot shaves. I use it to shave my head and have no problems at all. I still get a close shave without irritating my skin. This is especially helpful for dark skin men or men with curly hair who get razor bumps when they shave. I got razor bumps on my head an neck when I first started shaving with Gillette multi-bald cartridges. The cartridges gave me a very close, smooth shave, but my skin quickly became irritated, and I had to wait several days to allow my skin to heal before I could shave again. Since switching to these blades, that hasn't been an issue. The single blades are much more cost effective as well. I get more blades for a lot less money when compared to buying cartridges. Compared to the multi-blade cartridges, I also get more shaves out of the single blades before having to switch them out by using both sides of the blades. It's an all around better shaving experience for a much cheaper price. I would recommend this product to anyone.

I like these blades, but I have to say that your face has to get adjusted to them, especially if you were just using multi-blade razors. I am experimenting with them because I have very sensitive skin, yet course facial hair. They are not as aggressive as other blades, so if used correctly should reduce razor burn, but they are very sharp still and will make short work of my tough whiskers, so don't be fooled. Again, these will take some time to adjust to, and I recommend using them with a moderately aggressive razor because if you use a mild razor with these milder blades, you may not get the shave you want. I use the big foot razor they sell along with these blades, which is a great razor. Btw, these things do last a while, I shaved for at least 4 or 5 times with the same blade, and the bbs shave usually lasts me 2 days, until I saw some performance degradation, so that is about almost 2 weeks per blade.

I have been using Feather blades for years. I've always been turned off by the gum they use to stick the protective paper to the blade. The blades were fine but my razor required regular de-gumming.These blades come with no gumminess!The blades themselves are high quality. I have been using Feather blades for so long I just assumed that my shave was as close as I could get. With the Bigfoot Shaves blades I got the closest shave I have had in a long time. Over the summer I go from daily shaver to weekly shaver so it took three tries to clean my face, but it was the same with my other blades. These blades left me clean shaven and comfortable, no nicks or burns.These will be my new go to blades!

I recommend this razor; its timeless design delivers a quality shave sensibly and economically. I remember my dad and my grandad using these double-edge razors. I'm now in my 60s. I don't even recall there being an alternative to such common sense utilities. Enter Madison Avenue and debt-fuelled American razor companies around the late 70s, and the script was flipped for marketing sleight-of-hand, convenience, and disposability. We were sold down the drain, so to speak, in their effort to extract ever more sales from dubious and expensive products to feed corporate malfeasance and mischief. The big brands and their distribution conspirators have for decades maintained a lock on shaving products, driving costs for consumers ridiculously, inexplicably higher. (Just try and find these razors in most stores.) I believe you'll like the heft and durability of this product. If not, pass it down to your next generation who may.

I am writing more to commend an excellent customer service experience than anything else.As they say, these are not as sharp as Feather or Astra blades. That does not mean they are dull. When I first used them, i was unsatisfied and emailed the company directly. They responded, gave me a few pointers on why they make the blades the way they do and how to use them a little better. They also refunded my purchase price.Well, I have used the blades more and have found that they do get the job done as long as you work them the right way. Shorter strokes and more heat in your beard help a lot.Anyway, I am reordering because they work, and the company is great and deserves the business.
