Christmas in Cowboy Country (The Bennetts Book 3)

I just could not connect with this story. It really did not have a lot to do with Christmas, except a few Christmas events that felt like they were manufactured and tossed in to fill the middle of the book. The main character wasn't really a cowboy. The main plot about Marshall's secret mission in Colorado did not hold up very well. The idea of real estate fraud against older landowners was good but the investigation wasn't handled very well. The romance was a slow burn with lots of miscommunications and misunderstandings but good in the end.

I just now finished these 3 book series and loved them all, The town, the ranchers but all was not so innocent when some land fraud going on and the surveyor turned out to be FBI! I am sad to goodbye to them all. Maybe the author will bring them back so e we can follow up on them all.

The final story was very good and I loved the characters. They all had nothing but good intentions toward their neighbors which is refreshing.

Wonderful romance, set with holidays and snow. A guy with some mystery - is he good or bad? The icing on the cake is his truck. I will definitely look for more Janet Dailey.

What more can I say? Janet Dailey is a loving storyteller with wonderful instincts on what works. This book is such a super read.

I chose 4 stars as it was an easy read. I was able to pick up the story with just a quick reread.

I expected a sentimental Christmas story. I got a crime story instead. The main characters, Annie and Marshall, had several misunderstandings because Marshall was undercover. The main subplot held all the sentimentality any reader could want. I enjoyed the story.

I hadn't read a Janet Dailey book in a long time. When I saw this one and the price was good I ordered it. Was glad I did it was as good as I remembered her other books.

Bought for my Mother in Law. She loved it.
