Metal Mason Jar Lids and Plastic Mason Jar Straws Set, (6 Pack), Purple & White Plaid Lids with White Solid Straws

These are great, the lids fit properly onto both my regular mason jars, as well as my tall mason jar glasses with handles. I've added a photo so you can see what they look like on. The straws are reusable and washable. The design is cute. These are awesome for using outdoors for a picnic or bbq, and will keep the bugs out of your drink. These would also be cute for a themed party like a baby shower, etc. One thing to note is these will fit only a standard mason jar, not the wide mouth jars. The rubber rings in the center of the lids hold the straws securely, and stay in place when removing or inserting the straws. The lids screw on easily and stay secure.Overall, I really like these and will get plenty of use out of them. While very cute, I don't think these lids were designed for daily use. After only a few days, one of the straws cracked and left plastic chips in my cup. After a few washings, the body of the lid started to rust - on the sides, around the opening - all over! While they are a little hard to properly screw on sometimes, once they are on, they seal tightly with no leaks.

Fits perfectly with my mason jars! I got these mason jars from buying some tea drinks, and I was a bit disappointed that they didn't have the caps with the holes. So I decided to order these and place them on the jars. Now my jars have a lovely appearance and functions better!

The lids fit fine, my packaging did not include the straws, not a big thing as I only use paper straws. The lids look cute on my mason jar glass mugs.

I was disappointed that these lids started rusting around all the edges already - after only a month of use. The sealant on them is not very good.

Cute add on to a Ball or Mason jar. Fit well.

Alright. So I received these today, and I've been really excited for them because they seemed so cool. I do like them, I think it's a really neat concept and it especially looks super cute, it's a good idea because it doesn't let anything leak from the sides (it's not spill-proof though of course, if you turn it upside down water will come trough the straw obviously) and my only complaint is that the straw is a bit short. It needs to be longer, as you can see by the pictures. I'll definitely use these for special occasions because they're so cute, however they're not a necessity. If you have a few bucks to spare on these I would say do it, they'll make a nice additions to picnics and other gatherings where you'll be using mason jars, but if you're a bit short on money hold off. They're really cute and I'm going to use them, they're high quality and the hole where the straw goes through is lined with silicone to prevent leakage from there, so that the only way water will leak is if you do what I described before. These lids are very cute and remind me so much of grape jelly jars (my favorite jelly!). The lids themselves look to be made of aluminum and have a rubber seal to prevent leaks – the same kind of screw on lid that you would find on a Mason Jar today. Around the outer rim of the lid, grooves have been punched into the metal to make for an easier grip, which is very handy. There is a hole punched into the center of each and a rubber grommet has been fitted inside. The straw fits perfectly through the grommet. I like this feature as with other tumblers with lids of the same style, there is a gap that would allow insects and ants to climb in, or allow liquid to spill out when turned over. This gap is greatly reduced in this product. I feel that ants would be able to pass through this gap, but it would be rather difficult.I will say that this set will only fit the standard-mouth mason jars and not the large-mouth mason jars that Dad and Husband are fond of. I do also wish that the straw was just a few inches longer, as when it is fully seated to the bottom of the jar, it protrudes about ¾ of an inch. Other than that, I have no other complaints about the product. My Mother and I have plenty of these Mason Jars running around, so these alleviate headaches that stem from having to search the kitchen for lids and tumblers that match up.I received these Metal Mason Jar Lids and Mason Jar Straws Set (6pk) for free in exchange for a fair and honest review.
