I put the batter in a squirt bottle ( kinda like a plastic ketchup bottle ) and then squirt 2 times around ,that way there is no mess with batter dripping all over the place and its the fastest way to fill all four to close the lid quick, cook for 2 minutes open up and then flip them quick and close lid and cook another 2 minutes. after that rack them. I use a cake mix and it makes 24 little donuts . mmm mmm **Q: does it come with recipes** A: No, but you can find hundreds of donut recipes online. I make vegan donuts in mine in under 5 minutes I love it **Q: what is the voltage of the item?** A: This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other).
