Wonderful
This book was one of the sweetest books I have read in a long time! Carolyn Brown always does a great job without all of the trash in so many books today. Thank you!

Fun…
A different sort of story story with matchmaking older sweethearts, it was heartwarming. I enjoyed the story set around Christmas.

The music
Caroline Brown book, I read all of them. Because among them are some precious gems. Certain themes are predictable repetitive reiterated. But every now and then there's a real sunshine. So may be I refer for you to Sunshine ranch and the Ladies room. The best way to read Carolyn Brown's books is when you're sad or when you're happy and or right after an orgasm. And don't put me down I'm a righteous god-fearing woman, and retired women's health nurse practitioner and a midwife. And when we talk about sex it's not about us, it's about making sure more babies come into the world. Caroline Brown would be my friend if I lived in her town, and we would try to outdo each other by smoking cigars in the 1968 red convertible mustang Ford. We would have a hot tub that was clothing optional and we would make fun of everything inside. I would review her books to her and she would laugh and say you know from Oklahoma what do you know? And I would say my family came over to Virginia in the 1600s who are you to call me less than what I am? And she'd have some wonderful retort and we'd go on and on until we got bored with that. My husband and I belong in a nutcase farm, taking pecans and selling them on the streets of Berkeley. But someday I'm going out to Oklahoma and meet this fabulous woman named Caroline Brown who keeps me entertained as I age beyond compare. May her wrinkles define her, May her hair always be its natural color, may she have whatever kind of fun funeral she desires but most of all, when she meets God, may she just look up and say you are the light, and I am a maid-servant of God. Please accept me into the kingdom. And her Goddess will say what took us so long to get here?I'll be hanging out with the paparazzi taking pictures and then we'll start up a book club find John prine and the angels from Montgomery Alabama and will sing for a few thousand years praising the Lord and the glory of God

My new favorite Carolyn Brown book
She never fails to entertain but this book hits close to home. As a woman who has had friends for 60 years I loved the friendship of these women and how they looked after each other. You will laugh and feel their pain losing their friend. The other characters are wonderful.

Entertaining
Entertaining story. I loved learning about each character as they were introduced. The ending was sweet. I didn't expect it to end like it did.

Excellent
Another good read from Brown! I really liked these characters and the plot of this story. I would've liked to know that Elvira had some bad luck or something like an epiphany so she'd be nice for a change. What a terrible person!! Looking forward to reading more from this wonderful storyteller.

Very, very boring!
This is one of the most boring, going nowhere, stories I have read. I also found it quite odd how much the characters, although elderly women, were portrayed as people who drank alcohol like teenagers. Worse, there is an alcoholic Parakeet who likes to drink vodka! I got about halfway into the book and found it so utterly boring, so I just had to stop reading it. I've read many novels recently, and never felt the need to stop reading any of them. But this?!

Sunshine club
This not my usual type of book as a rest from fiction and action this was a warm loving book that lightens the heart and revived your faith in human nature.

Not too good to be true.
This is the first book I've read all the way through where something bad didn't spoil the ending. Thank you for making me laugh and cry with joy.Life throws stones at us from time to time and this book has helped me through a difficult one.

The Sunshine Club
First time reading a Carolyn Brown book and what a delight to read. The title has sunshine in it and all the way through I could feel the good feeling we get on a lovely sunny day. Will pick out another book by the same Author now for my Kindle.

A very heartwarming read, Carolyn Brown writes from the heart. The strong characters were funny, sassy and spirited. To lose yourself in one of Carolyn Brown's books is a joy.
