While beautiful in appearance and great price, there's two main problems: 1) The hole within the knob, where the screw threads into, is defective. First, I tried the screws included within the package and the diameter of the screw was too big. Then, I went to my local hardware store and none of the screws fit, we discovered it was due to defective threading within the knobs. 2) In order to mount/attach the back-plate, you have to drill three, rather large holes from the backside; one hole on the right, another hole on the left side, and a third hole in the middle. This isn't communicated in the ad from the seller. I thought it was the kind of back-plate which only requires one drilled hole for the knob and the knob itself would hold the back-plate in place. Not so. So the design of the back-plate makes the installation process much harder than it has to be. Returning to Amazon.

These are nice looking handles and at a great price. They are gold in color, but look a bit aged so perhaps that is why the word “green” is listed in the description. However there is no sign of any green to these knobs. I am giving it a 4 star rating as there are some things that make them a bit odd or not ideal. However, I like them I am willing to figure out a solution.First, my two handles DID come with screws, but the screws were so short, they were useless. Second, the long portion that goes up against the drawer or cabinet door to house the knob at the end, has two small prong like pieces of metal on the back side top and bottom, that do not allow this piece to lay flush on any wood. For this reason, and the endless search for the right size screw, these handles are not completely secure to the wood and they spin. I am using this on a buffet type of furniture I refinished and I don’t go into it regularly, so it will work for me, but I couldn’t see using this for a dresser or any item you needed to get into on a daily basis- unless you were able to make that piece lay flush.

I used these on the top drawer of a dresser refurb project. It turned out great but for a few reasons the install is much harder than it needs to be. (If you have a drill index you should be fine...) First the two outer connection points protrude from the back so you need to drill shallow corresponding holes for these then switch to the screw diameter bit. The included screws should then work for most doors. Next the middle connection point is actually above flush, in the knob, so you need to start a hole in the back wider than the head of the screw so it can reach the knob. Again, it ended up working out fine for me but based on a few reviews I've read this has caused issues for some and might be more complicated than it worth for you.

These handles are big and beautiful, but were difficult to install. I am happy with the final look, but would not order them again due to the time it took to install. My husband is very handy and can do just about any carpentry but he had to spend a couple of hours trying to get these handles on the chest.

I started working on my china cabinet and so I ordered these for the doors. I received today and honestly I thought it would be small it’s actually a good size. I’m so glad I ordered these perfect size.
