Finally got the connectors to work ...
I’ve had some issues getting these to work with the waterproof strip lights. I ordered replacement strip lights from Supernight and followed the instructions for the connectors - and it worked like a champ. I think the other brand of strip lights have an adhesive layer that is hard to penetrate. I tried peeling that back on the other brands and could not get good connections. With the Supernight LED strip, I did peel back the adhesive (not just the adhesive cover) and the connectors have been easy to assemble. The Supernight LED strip adhesive is not as strong as others, but I am installing on a clean surface, so it seems to hold. In the past, I used 3M double side adhesive to get the Superlights to stick. Also the superlights have 300 LEDs per 16 ft. I recommend the Superlight LED strips and the connectors - it’s the combination that works for me.

It’s your connection
SO!!! Hahahaha it’s your connection. I spent some weeks (couple of hours on the weekends) fighting getting my lights to work. I did use the aluminum channel but they worked fine. When it can to the clips, they did not fit in the channel. No big deal there. But connecting these things OMG!!! You will need pliers PERIOD! To connect them to the light strip my best advice and success story I can give you is to connect to facing down. Yes, connect your light strip FACING DOWN. This does mean your wires will need to match on the other end. But the success rate was 10 for 10 after doing this.

They do the trick. Just take your time
I can see both sides to the positive and negative reviews on these. My opinion is positive on these though. You have to be patient and pay attention when you are making your connections but they work great. I had to take one apart. It works the second time but I would push your luck much more after that. The top lid that clamps down start to get weak. Make sure you peel the adhesive backing off your led strip before you make your connection. It makes a difference

Impossible to make secure reliable connections
These connectors are not worth the price. For the wire end, using the recommended 4 wire cabling, the teeth do not make good contacts with the wires. It was almost impossible to get all four wires to make a secure permanent connection to the graabing teeth. For the strip end, using the exact pictured procedure for hooking up the led strip, it was almost impossible to get the penetrating pins to make a good solid permanent contact into all four copper contacts on the strip. After trying multiple times, and after opening up the snap clip to see what was the problem, I saw that the pins had penetrated from the underside into the copper contacts, but the connection was spotty and I could never get all four to make solid contact. The instructions show that all you have to do is peel off the adhesive strip, insert the led strip, and snap down the cover supposedly making the pins penetrate and contact.Never happened.I'm going to try now to solder the wire to the strips rather than mess around with these clips. Even if I was able to force contacts to make a contact, I'm sure when exposed outside to weather and expansion they would be breaking contact.Don't waste your money on thes until they improve the design and reliability.
