I received my extendahose expanding durable latex hose and connected it to the hose bib in my yard. Upon turning it on, it burst and leaked all over my patio. I am really disappointed in the product.

I connected the hose as directed and not 5 minutes into watering, the internal hose coupling separated, rendering the hose useless. I researched the many comments on the various hoses offered on Amazon and felt assured this was a good choice. I am going to try another brand. Grateful for Amazon's instant return and refund policy on this useless item. Buyer beware!

My husband and I were so excited when we were selected to try out the 50 foot Extenda Hose, and even more excited to try it tonight! We had seen the infomercials on similar products but were never sure if they would be worth the time, money, or hassle of getting. This one is a winner! When I told my mother-in-law that we were trying this her first comment was that she had gotten a similar, cheaper hose like this from the store and that it was junk. The hose ends would blow out from the water pressure. So, that was the first thing we checked for. We hooked this hose directly to our house's external water spigot. The pressure gauge for that spigot says that we have 60 psi of pressure on that spigot with flow, meaning, while it is running. That's pretty high. Unlike our mom's cheap hose, this Extenda Hose held up just fine, even with an hours use.Features we like are the included hose hanger (no need to find this product a home in your garage, it comes with one) and the included multi-spray pattern nozzle. We also Ike that it seems to be sturdy, extends quickly, and retracts within a reasonable amount of time.Things you should note include: Don't expect it to retract to the exact length of what it was before its first use. It's not far from it, but still a little longer. Also, if you are standing at the full length of the hose when you pull the handle to water something, it will retract about 4 inches. Some may find this annoying, but if you want a hose that retracts, when it loses any pressure, it will retract a little.As a disclaimer, I received this product for a discount in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. The hose comes in a nicely packaged cardboard box with the hose inside along with an adjustable spray nozzle as well. At first it had a bit of a strange chemical smell to it, but after awhile of usage the smell went away. The pieces are made of brass at the tips, to prevent rust and prolong usage. The included spray nozzle has 7 different settings. There is flat, shower, jet, mist, soaker, cone, and centered. There is also a small metal clip to keep the nozzle running or on, without having to press down on the handle. When using the hose you have to wait a couple seconds for it to fully expand in length. Once expanded water will actually start coming out of the hose. You can actually watch the house grow and expand right in front of your eyes. Once you're done using the hose is shrinks back down to it's compact size very easily. The house is very convenient and easy to use. The soaker setting on the nozzle head is my favorite, it is perfect for gardening. For 25 ft I'd say it is great for general tasks around the house. But if you want to walk a good distance away or out into your street I'd go with 50 ft. 25 ft is plenty from my backyard to my front driveway. The hose isn't just for gardening, I also use it for car cleaning as well. There are lots of different uses with the several spray settings on the nozzle. I got the extendahouse expanding latex hose for a discount for reviewing purposes, but came here to drop the honest truth.

I purchased this hose because I keep getting this type of extendable hoses that seem to spring leaks. This hose brand seems much sturdier than other brands I have purchased in the past. It actually has brass fittings instead of plastic fittings. Which I prefer because the plastic fittings tend to crack. The hose itself is also thicker than ones I have purchased in the past. I live in a condo and I have deck with plants and do not want a large hose so this is a great answer to my requirements. It extends just as it should and shrinks back up to a very manageable size.This hose came with a nozzle that has multiple choices for setting the flow of water. It also came with a hook that hangs on your spigot to hang the hose from. The hose has a quick release fitting so you can easily snail the hose off without having to unscrew it. In addition there is also a shut off know on the hose so you can stop the flow of water if you are using the hose without the nozzle attachment. I like the quality of this hose and I'm impressed by the extras.

Finally!! I have tried several different extending hoses and they have all split down the hose or the plastic attachments broke or cracked. This one has brass fittings so nothing to break there. The hose extends slowly and after several uses there hasn't been any splitting of the hose itself. The hook for handing was a nice addition as well. I received the item mentioned above for free or at a discount in the hope that I would review it. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I have used personally and believe will be good for other customers as well.
